Humand is expanding its Brazilian operations with plans to increase its local workforce from 25 to 40 employees by the end of 2026. The HR technology company is also establishing a dedicated product management team to adapt its platform to Brazilian regulations and corporate requirements. The initiative follows a $66 million Series A funding round and reinforces Brazil’s position as Humand’s second-largest market.

Investment Supports Local Expansion

Humand announced its $66 million Series A in February 2026, with Kaszek and Goodwater Capital leading the investment. The financing has supported recruitment and product development as the company increases investment in markets where demand aligns with its platform, including Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. Chief Financial Officer Félix Beccar identified these countries as priorities for allocating capital toward growth.

According to Leandro Oliveira, Humand’s director for Brazil and the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, the new product team will focus exclusively on Brazil. Its responsibilities will include accelerating updates and addressing requirements specific to local employers. Oliveira also confirmed that Humand does not currently have comparable country-specific product teams elsewhere.

Growing Presence Among Large Employers

Humand is prioritizing Brazilian businesses with more than 5,000 employees through its commercial, marketing, and partnership initiatives. However, the platform remains available to organizations of different sizes, including companies managing distributed and frontline workforces. More than 100,000 employees in Brazil already use its services, according to figures reported by the company.

Humand's Brazilian operation exceeded 100 customers during its first 15 months, from January 2025 through March 2026, a milestone also achieved in its EMEA operation. Worldwide, the company reports serving more than 2,000 organizations across 50 countries. Oliveira described Brazil as a technologically sophisticated market where established local providers create competition but employers remain receptive to new solutions.

Regulatory Requirements Shape Demand

Changes to Brazil’s workplace safety standard NR-1 have added another consideration for employers evaluating human resources technology. The revised occupational risk management rules, effective May 26, 2026, explicitly address psychosocial risk factors related to work. Humand sees the requirements as particularly relevant to large employers with substantial operational workforces.

Oliveira said some prospective customers approach the regulation as a compliance task and seek tools for defined needs, allowing implementation discussions to progress quickly. Others use the changes to reconsider broader management practices and evaluate which platform features fit their organization. Those consultations can take longer but allow Humand to demonstrate a wider range of potential applications.

Artificial Intelligence Across Employee Services

Humand is integrating artificial intelligence throughout more than 30 platform modules, extending access beyond traditional HR departments to employees without desk-based roles. Its communication features can adapt material for different audiences, such as converting a company livestream into a concise operational update or a management-oriented summary. The company is also using conversational tools to respond to employee questions across workplace settings.

Its developing AI agents include Sammy for internal support, Tali for recruitment, and Oli for employee retention. Humand estimates that its AI capabilities could save employees an average of three hours per week and reduce IT expenses by as much as 25%, although these are company-reported potential benefits. Beccar said the aim is to simplify access to these functions rather than make customers navigate numerous separate tools.

Humand’s Brazilian expansion combines additional staffing, locally focused product development, and broader deployment of AI capabilities. Management expects continued growth and is prioritizing customer adoption and practical platform usage over a specific valuation target. With more than 100,000 local users already on its platform, the company is positioning Brazil as a central market in its next phase of expansion.
