Program Benefits and Incentives
• Financial Support: Startups receive AED 250,000 in cash in exchange for equity through a SAFE note.
• In-Kind Incentives: A package valued at AED 250,000 is provided, which can be used for a range of support services.
• Performance-Based Funding: High-performing startups committed to Abu Dhabi may be eligible for an additional top-up of up to AED 250,000 in exchange for further equity upon program completion or after one year.
• Support Services: Incentives cover office space, health insurance, housing, workforce support, licensing and visa assistance, marketing, legal, financial services, back-office support, upskilling, and growth marketing.
• Guided Track: Participants are enrolled in a 3-month guided track powered by Techstars, granting access to their global network of mentors for tailored growth advice.
Program Structure
• Duration: The program runs for a total of 12 months.
• Program Launch (4 weeks): Participants set KPIs and identify key areas for growth to establish a strong foundation.
• Market Entry Preparation (4 weeks): This phase focuses on navigating the UAE's corporate environment and investor landscape to prepare for entry into the MENA region.
• Corporate Partner Introductions: Hub71 facilitates introductions to key partners within its network to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
• Growth Acceleration (4 weeks): The curriculum concentrates on critical areas such as fundraising, market expansion, and team scaling.
• Fundraising Showcase: The program includes a fundraising event where startups meet with VCs, culminating in a public Demo Day.
• Ongoing Support: Throughout the 12 months, startups receive continuous support through access to vetted service providers, utilizing their incentive packages.
Eligibility and Application Requirements
• Target Audience: The program is designed for startups at the pre-seed to Series A funding stages.
• Founder Commitment: At least one founder is expected to commit to relocating long-term to Abu Dhabi and building a team in the city.
• Application Form: Applicants must complete all required fields in the online application form.
• Pitch Deck Submission: A pitch deck in PDF format is required, highlighting the problem, solution, value proposition, business model, competition, market analysis, traction, funds raised, founding team, and plans for operating within Hub71 and Abu Dhabi.
Application Timeline and Selection Process
• Current Application Cycle: Applications are being accepted for Cohort 20.
• Application Deadline: The deadline for Cohort 20 is August 2, 2026.
• Program Start Date: The program is scheduled to begin in February 2027.
• Review Period: Applications submitted before the deadline will be reviewed between June and November 2026. Candidates can expect feedback on their application status within three months of submission.
• Rolling Applications: Applications submitted after a cohort deadline will be automatically considered for the subsequent cohort.
• Selection Stages: The selection process consists of four rounds:
• Round 1: Application review.
• Round 2: Interviews between shortlisted founders and the Hub71 team.
• Round 3: Meetings between shortlisted founders and Hub71 partners.
• Round 4: Final review by the selection committee.
