The Her Perfect Pitch 2025 Competition, organized by Jacaranda FM and its partners, is a national platform supporting women entrepreneurs in South Africa. Designed to spotlight female-led businesses, the competition offers mentorship, national exposure, and advertising support to help women founders elevate and grow their ventures.
Programme Overview
- Organiser: Jacaranda FM and affiliates
- Location: Republic of South Africa
- Application Window: 1 August 2025 – 31 August 2025
- Target Group: Women entrepreneurs aged 18–65, with businesses registered in South Africa and at least one year old
- Participation Requirement:
- Minimum 50% female ownership
- Valid South African ID or passport with residence in South Africa
- One entry per participant
Prize Package
Grand Prize
- $27,000 worth of advertising on Jacaranda FM
- Creation and production of a radio advert, with additional digital amplification
- Six-week mentorship programme covering:
- Tailor-made business model
- Research consultation
- Branding consultation
- Digital and PR consultation
Top 10 Finalists
- Each finalist will receive $5,405 worth of advertising airtime on Jacaranda FM
Entry Process
- Step 1: Create an online profile
- Step 2: Complete the application form, including financial statements and details about the business, vision, and unique selling points
- Step 3: Top 30 applicants selected and invited to a networking session, with a requirement to submit a 2-minute video pitch
- Step 4: Top 10 finalists chosen to pitch live at Jacaranda FM studios in Johannesburg
- Step 5: Final three winners announced live on-air by Jacaranda FM
Judging and Selection
- Entries reviewed under Consumer Protection Act guidelines by independent assessors
- Criteria include business vision, sustainability, and overall potential for growth
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding
Conditions of Entry
- Participants must use their own social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted
- The previous top 10 finalists from earlier Her Perfect Pitch competitions are not eligible
- Participants cover their travel and accommodation for in-person sessions
- Prizes are non-transferable and subject to availability
- Winners may be requested to allow name and image usage for promotional purposes
