Indian deep-tech company Zenergize Technologies has raised $4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round to expand manufacturing and accelerate the commercialization of its Silicon Carbide-based power electronics products. The round, comprising equity and venture debt, was led by Giraffe Studios and included participation from industrial entrepreneurs, executives, and existing investors. The financing follows a year of commercial expansion in which Zenergize reached an annual revenue run rate of approximately ₹30 crore and built an order book exceeding ₹100 crore.

Strategic Investors Back Zenergize

Giraffe Studios increased its existing investment in the company, reinforcing its support for Zenergize's technology and plans to develop advanced power electronics in India. Participants included Nikhil Sawhney of Triveni Turbine, Varun Agarwal of Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases, Shyam Bagri of Bagrry's Holdings, Raoul Bajaj of Trafigura, angel investor Sunil Kalra, and former Delhivery executives Ajith Pai and Sandeep Barasia. Nitin Jain, Managing Director of Neo Group, and Hemant Daga, CEO of Neo Bank, also participated alongside other angel investors and existing backers.

Capital to Support Manufacturing Expansion

Zenergize plans to deploy the fresh capital across manufacturing, engineering, research and development, sales, and after-sales services as it prepares for its next phase of growth. The company intends to expand production capacity while strengthening its nationwide sales and servicing network to support enterprise and original equipment manufacturer customers. Zenergize is targeting an annual revenue run rate of more than ₹100 crore as it scales commercial operations over the coming months.

Building Indigenous Power Electronics

The company develops power electronics products built around Silicon Carbide semiconductor technology, which can deliver higher efficiency and improved performance in applications including renewable energy and electric mobility. Zenergize says it has developed India's first indigenous SiC-based DC fast charger and solar inverter platforms, with its chargers receiving automotive certifications and its solar inverters securing BIS certification. Its current product portfolio includes solar inverters and AC and DC electric vehicle chargers with capacities reaching up to 240 kW.

Expanding Into Energy Storage

Beyond its existing products, Zenergize is developing hybrid inverters and Battery Energy Storage System solutions as part of a broader expansion of its technology platform. The company has built an integrated engineering stack covering hardware, firmware, embedded software, and digital control systems, allowing it to develop products specifically for Indian grid, climate, and operating conditions. Management believes greater control over these technologies can help the company improve efficiency, remain price competitive, and reduce dependence on power electronics platforms adapted from overseas markets.

Growing With India's Energy Transition

Co-founder and CEO Navneet Daga said the company's recent commercial progress demonstrates that advanced power electronics can be designed and manufactured competitively in India. Co-founder and CTO Dr. Veer Karan Goyal highlighted the importance of developing equipment specifically for India's infrastructure and environmental conditions as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and energy storage deployment increases. Giraffe Studios co-founder Himanshu Aggarwal said the investor is backing companies that develop core technologies and capture a larger share of the value chain in strategically important markets.

Zenergize is positioning itself to benefit from growing demand for advanced power electronics as India expands renewable energy generation, electric mobility infrastructure, and battery storage capacity. The Pre-Series A financing gives the company additional resources to move from early commercialization toward larger-scale manufacturing while extending its product portfolio and customer reach. By combining locally developed intellectual property with domestic manufacturing, Zenergize aims to establish itself as a globally competitive Indian supplier of next-generation power electronics.
