VOLANT Aerotech, a prominent Chinese electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer, has successfully closed its Series C+ financing round, securing nearly RMB 1 billion. This achievement marks the company's second major funding success within a single month, underscoring strong investor confidence. The new capital will accelerate the company's path toward the commercialization of its passenger eVTOL aircraft.

Strategic Capital to Fuel Commercial Operations

The funding round was led by China Life Investment, a premier state-owned insurance investment platform, with significant backing from new and existing shareholders. Participants included Minjin Investment, NIO Capital, CoStone Capital, and the China Internet Investment Fund. This diverse investor base provides a robust capital ecosystem to support VOLANT's ambitious long-term development goals.

The fresh capital injection is earmarked for key strategic initiatives aimed at bringing the company's eVTOL aircraft to market. These funds will primarily be used to accelerate flight testing, advance the rigorous airworthiness certification process, and deepen industrial supply chain integration. This focused approach is essential for preparing for large-scale commercial operations and meeting future demand.

Key Milestones in Technology and Certification

As a leader in the passenger eVTOL sector, VOLANT has developed a fully independent and controllable core technology system. A major milestone was achieved in October of last year with the successful completion of its first piloted test flight. This event validated the high maturity and safety of the aircraft's design, showcasing its readiness for advanced testing.

The company is now aggressively pursuing airworthiness certification for its flagship model, the VE25-100. VOLANT has set a clear target to secure full certification and commence commercial deliveries to customers by 2027. This timeline positions the company as a serious contender in the race to launch commercial urban air mobility services.

Dual-Pronged Strategy for Domestic and Global Markets

VOLANT Aerotech is executing a "dual-engine" market strategy that combines deep localization in China with assertive global expansion. Domestically, the Shanghai-based company has already secured over 1,900 orders, valued at approximately RMB 47.5 billion. Strategic partnerships with state-owned giants like China Southern Airlines General Aviation are helping build the necessary operational infrastructure.

On the international front, the company has established a strong market network spanning Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. A landmark agreement in Thailand for 500 aircraft set a new record for Chinese passenger eVTOL exports. Further orders from partners in Dubai and Germany underscore the company's growing global appeal and commercial traction.

With its latest funding success, a substantial global order book, and a clear path to certification, VOLANT Aerotech has solidified its position as a key player in the global eVTOL industry. The company's strategic capital partnerships and proven technical execution provide a strong foundation for future growth. VOLANT is now uniquely positioned to help unlock the potential of the multi-trillion-dollar low-altitude economy.
