On October 20, 2026, San Francisco-based Vectorial, a human behavior simulation platform, announced a US$3 million Seed round to place modeled target customers inside product development and launch workflows. Backers include Smilegate, SenseAI Ventures, Berkeley SkyDeck, the Berkeley AI Research Lab, Stanford-linked funds, and product leaders from Meta, Shopify, and Mastercard. The company says existing user research remains too slow and biased for AI-paced product iteration, leading many teams to skip it and ship low-quality experiences.
The Limitations of Current User Research
AI is making product development exponentially faster, but collecting feedback from 50 to 100 participants can still take days, which is slow when teams iterate in hours. Even AI-moderated interviews typically require a multi-day study for every new question, with small samples that can be costly and biased. Vectorial argues that companies often skip user research at important steps, leading to low-quality AI-generated products.
A Behavior Model Grounded in Real Data
Vectorial's platform builds a behavior model called SAPIENS that learns socio-demographic, psychographic, and behavioral traits for a target audience. Product, design, and marketing teams can then watch modeled users react to a product journey, campaign design, or AI agent before a single real user touches it. The company reports that SAPIENS is 30% more accurate than general-purpose large language models at predicting behavior and has been validated against real-user studies.
Early Traction Across Industries
Vectorial has modeled more than 2.5 million real people and run more than 30,000 simulations to date. Customers in healthcare, gaming, and e-commerce, including MIDI Health, GoodRx, Suki AI, Boat, Everkind, and Concrete Software, run about 600 simulations a month. That volume is roughly 20 times more research than before, and the company says simulations have reproduced prior user-study findings with more than 85% accuracy.
Customer Validation
Supreet Pal Singh, CTO of Everkind, said Vectorial helps the company simulate real-world differences across diverse human behaviors before an update reaches a real user. Vedansh Kumar, CMO of Boat, said the platform brings consumer understanding into everyday decision-making at a speed and scale that was not possible before. David Nixon, VP of Data Services at Concrete Software, noted that Vectorial gives game teams a first read in minutes instead of days or weeks.
Founder and Investor Perspectives
Co-founder and CEO Taranveer Singh said AI is creating two frontiers: one focused on reasoning and complex problems, and another focused on simulations and decoding human behavior. Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Rahul Garg added that Vectorial places behavior models inside the product development loop, which changes how digital products are designed and built. Rahul Agarwalla, Managing Partner at SenseAI Ventures, noted that the harder challenge is no longer building quickly but finding product-market fit quickly.
Plans for the New Capital
Vectorial will use the funding to expand its behavioral datasets through new data partnerships and to advance SAPIENS 2.0. The company wants the next version to become the de facto generative simulation infrastructure for building and launching products. The round includes participation from UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon University ecosystems, along with operators from Meta, Shopify, and Mastercard.
Vectorial is betting that behavior simulation will become a standard step before companies build or launch consumer products and AI agents. Its early adoption by public companies and billion-dollar enterprises suggests strong demand for faster, evidence-based user insights. If the company succeeds, it could turn a continuously enriched audience model into a strategic asset that shapes product, design, and marketing decisions across the entire development lifecycle.
