VAST Data and CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) have announced integrations to bring enterprise-grade cybersecurity across infrastructure, data, and AI workloads supporting production artificial intelligence. The announcement, made on September 1, 2026, from New York City and Las Vegas, combines the VAST AI Operating System with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. The collaboration aims to help enterprises manage emerging security challenges as sensitive information moves between infrastructure, users, models, and agents.

Securing Infrastructure Powering AI

The VAST AI OS is integrating its data infrastructure platform with native support for the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor. This brings CrowdStrike protection directly into VAST environments supporting mission-critical enterprise AI workloads. The native sensor support is certified and available today, establishing a foundation for deeper integration with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Guardian.

Turning Data Access Telemetry Into Security Intelligence

VAST audit telemetry will integrate directly with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to turn data access activity into actionable security intelligence. The combination provides detailed visibility into how users and machines access enterprise data alongside CrowdStrike threat intelligence and detection capabilities. Security teams can correlate activity across the VAST AI OS with the wider cyber environment to identify anomalous behavior, investigate incidents, and better understand the scope of potential threats.

Embedding AI-Native Protection in Data Pipelines

Falcon Guardian, CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response solution, will integrate with VAST InsightEngine, using the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, to embed threat detection directly into data pipelines preparing enterprise data for AI. As InsightEngine ingests, processes, and enriches data for AI knowledge bases and workflows, organizations can identify sensitive or risky information. This approach surfaces potentially harmful activity before it reaches downstream AI systems.

VAST Data Leadership Perspective

Renen Hallak, Founder and CEO at VAST Data, said the security boundary for AI cannot stop at the infrastructure. Enterprises need to understand who is accessing data, how that data moves through AI pipelines, and what happens when applications and models interact with it. With CrowdStrike, customers can build AI environments where security is part of the architecture from the foundation through the AI pipeline.

CrowdStrike Leadership Perspective

Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike, emphasized that AI is reshaping the enterprise and security must extend everywhere AI operates. He said the collaboration extends Falcon protection across the infrastructure, data, and AI pipelines powering the next generation of enterprise AI. Bernard also described VAST Data as one of the most innovative AI infrastructure software companies on the market.

Protection Across the AI Lifecycle

The VAST AI OS spans infrastructure managing enterprise data and workflows that make that data usable for AI. InsightEngine ingests, processes, and enriches unstructured data for use by models and agents, providing a natural integration point for Falcon Guardian. The integration can help classify sensitive information such as personally identifiable information and detect prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and other malicious activity around AI systems.

NVIDIA-Powered AI Factory Demonstration

The integrations will also be demonstrated within an NVIDIA-powered AI factory, showing how CrowdStrike protection can be integrated with a VAST-powered data pipeline that supports accelerated AI workloads. The demonstration brings the three technologies together in a production-oriented environment. It illustrates how enterprises can strengthen protection around proprietary data as it is prepared and used for AI.

Availability

Native CrowdStrike Falcon sensor support for VAST is certified and available today, giving enterprises immediate access to foundational protection. Integrations with CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Guardian are available in private preview for organizations that want to evaluate the expanded capabilities. Interested parties can learn more by visiting the VAST and CrowdStrike partner page or meeting with VAST at CrowdStrike Fal.Con at booth number 1045.

The collaboration between VAST Data and CrowdStrike reflects a broader industry shift toward embedding security across the entire AI lifecycle. By linking VAST visibility into data activity with CrowdStrike threat intelligence, enterprises gain the context needed to identify and respond to risks in complex AI environments. As AI adoption accelerates, integrated security from foundational infrastructure through data pipelines can help protect proprietary information and support safer enterprise AI.
