Ultraviolette Automotive has launched its new X-47 Venom electric motorcycle alongside the VX-100 100 volt platform. The company announced an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers, with a regular starting price of ₹3 lakh. Bookings opened on October 22, deliveries are scheduled for November 2026, and the motorcycle will debut in Europe on November 3 at EICMA 2026 in Milan.

Platform and Performance Upgrades

The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on Ultraviolette's new VX-100 architecture. It offers an IDC-certified range of 343 km, a peak power output of 30 kW or 40 hp, and a top speed of 155 kmph. Acceleration from 0 to 60 kmph takes 2.7 seconds, while 0 to 100 kmph takes 5.9 seconds, with 550 Nm of torque at the wheel and a 180 kg curb weight, about 20 kg lighter than the previous platform.

Battery and Charging Technology

The VX-100 platform combines the SRB-11 battery technology, the UV LIGHTFURY motor, and a next-generation motor control unit. Ultraviolette said the battery offers up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance, while its thermal management system dissipates heat up to 50% faster. The motorcycle supports 12 kW DC fast charging, which the company calls unique among electric two-wheelers in India, along with a 1.6 kW onboard charger and battery options of around 7 kWh and 11 kWh.

Safety and Rider Assistance

The battery pack uses a cast-aluminum housing for structural strength and carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It includes a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected, alongside a battery management system that monitors cell-level voltage, temperature, and current. The motorcycle also carries a 77 GHz rear radar with blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts, and rear-collision warnings.

Features and Connected Systems

The X-47 Venom features a seven-inch TFT touchscreen, cruise control, integrated front and rear dashcams, and rear-camera-based park assist. Navigation is integrated with Mappls, while connected functions are managed through the VIOLETTE A.I. system. The motorcycle also offers nine levels of regenerative braking, four levels of traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS, hill-hold assist, and a lithium-ion auxiliary battery.

Rider Safety Accessory and Market Expansion

Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette introduced the B-MAX reusable rider safety vest, which offers 86% force attenuation and is designed to protect the neck, chest, back, sides, and hips. The mechanically activated vest inflates within 200 milliseconds and can be reused up to five times. Ultraviolette already exports motorcycles to 20 European countries, and it plans to launch the X-47 Venom in Europe on November 3 at EICMA 2026.

Company Strategy and Manufacturing

In September, Ultraviolette announced plans to invest around ₹1,000 crore over five years, including ₹800 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu and ₹200 crore in expanding existing operations. The company is targeting annual manufacturing capacity of about 300,000 vehicles by mid-2027. It also raised US$85 million in September 2026 from investors led by Yali Capital and TDK Ventures to support manufacturing, new platforms, and overseas expansion.

The X-47 Venom marks a step forward for Ultraviolette's premium electric motorcycle lineup and its broader technology roadmap. The modular VX-100 platform is designed to support different battery capacities, vehicle configurations, and power levels across future products. With deliveries beginning in November 2026 and a European debut planned, the launch signals the company's intent to expand its presence in both domestic and international markets.
