Tether Capital has made a strategic investment in AIsa, a platform that lets AI agents access and pay for data, software, and computing resources through one interface. Announced on October 15, 2026, the deal supports payment infrastructure for AI agents that can operate with less human involvement. The companies did not disclose the investment amount or equity stake.

Platform Access and Usage-Based Payments

AIsa provides a single access point for AI agents to use external data, AI models, APIs, software tools, and computing resources. Developers can connect their agents through one credential instead of creating separate accounts or managing individual subscriptions for each service. The platform uses a usage-based payment model, allowing agents to pay for individual service calls rather than maintaining separate subscriptions for every provider.

Payments can be made in fiat currencies or stablecoins, depending on the supported payment arrangements. According to company-reported figures, AIsa has more than 250,000 agents using its platform and has processed over 100 million transactions. Its network also provides access to more than 5,000 APIs, skills, and AI models, although these figures have not been independently verified.

Tether's Expanding AI Infrastructure Focus

The investment deepens Tether's involvement in AI infrastructure and automated payments. Tether is best known for USDT, a stablecoin designed to maintain a value equivalent to the US dollar, and it also develops technology for digital payments, asset tokenization, and peer-to-peer infrastructure. The company's technology initiatives include the Wallet Development Kit, which enables developers to integrate self-custodial digital asset wallets into applications and AI-driven systems.

Funding Details and Investor Backing

AIsa previously raised funding from technology companies, financial institutions, and venture capital investors. The extension of its Seed round, announced on October 15, included Tether and HIVEN as strategic investors and brought total funding to more than US$9 million. Other investors named in the announcement include Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates, and Saison Capital.

The companies have not disclosed the individual investment amounts contributed by Tether or HIVEN. They also have not disclosed the total payment value processed through the platform or the proportion of transactions settled in stablecoins. AIsa's model allows service providers to make their digital resources available to automated workflows, while businesses can purchase services as needed.

Enterprise AI Agent Infrastructure

AIsa is a technology company building infrastructure that enables AI agents to discover, access, and pay for external data, AI models, APIs, software tools, and computing services. Its platform combines service access with usage-based billing to help developers connect AI agents to digital resources through a single interface. The company aims to support automated workflows by reducing the need for separate service integrations and subscriptions.

This approach could help companies reduce the need to manage multiple subscriptions when deploying AI agents for research, analysis, and other business tasks. The network is designed to help businesses access digital resources while managing permissions and spending for AI-driven operations. As AI agents become more common in enterprise settings, payment infrastructure that supports automated resource access may become increasingly important.

The strategic investment from Tether adds another notable backer as AIsa develops its platform for enterprise AI agents. With reported usage of more than 250,000 agents and over 100 million transactions, the company is building early momentum in the emerging market for AI agent payments. While key financial details remain undisclosed, the deal highlights growing interest in infrastructure that connects AI agents with digital services and stablecoin-based settlement.
