Tencent Cloud has officially launched its suite of artificial intelligence agent solutions in Indonesia, aiming to accelerate the transition from AI experimentation to practical enterprise deployment. The launch, announced at its AI Executive Day in Jakarta, introduces key products including the productivity agent WorkBuddy, creative agent Miora, and the Model-as-a-Service platform TokenHub. These tools are designed to help local businesses automate complex workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Capitalizing on Indonesia's AI Momentum
The expansion comes as Indonesian enterprises increasingly prioritize artificial intelligence, with a recent study indicating 57% consider it a top priority for the coming year. Furthermore, 66% of these businesses plan to deepen their investment in agentic AI, which can autonomously execute tasks. Tencent Cloud's new offerings are strategically positioned to address this growing demand for sophisticated, real-world AI applications.
A Suite of Advanced AI Solutions
A key highlight of the launch is Tencent WorkBuddy, an agentic AI solution designed to boost workplace productivity by turning a single instruction into a complete deliverable. It orchestrates specialized agents for tasks like market research and data analysis, drawing on experts from various fields. The platform has already demonstrated significant traction, amassing over 8.85 million monthly active users in China within its first month.
The company also introduced Tencent Design Miora, an AI-native creative studio that helps maintain brand consistency across campaigns by generating production-ready asset packs from simple briefs. To manage rising operational costs, the TokenHub platform provides centralized API access to leading large language models. This enables businesses to optimize for both performance and cost by efficiently allocating tokens.
Deepening Commitment to Local Enterprises
Jimmy Chen, Vice President of Tencent Cloud, emphasized the company's commitment to helping local organizations shift execution-heavy work to AI. This strategy allows internal teams to focus more on high-value activities like strategic decision-making and innovation. Chen affirmed the company's long-term dedication to Indonesia and its goal of empowering enterprises to scale globally.
The summit showcased a successful collaboration with telecommunications operator XLSMART, which modernized its operations using Tencent Cloud's infrastructure. Yessie D. Yosetya, Director and Chief Information Technology Officer of XLSMART, noted the transformation was achieved with zero downtime. The project leveraged AI to handle repetitive engineering tasks, significantly improving the efficiency of its digital operations.
Tencent Cloud's influence extends across various sectors, supporting major players like GoTo, Indonesia's largest digital ecosystem, with a massive cloud migration. In finance, it provides core database solutions for Bank Neo Commerce and eKYC services for BRI to prevent fraud. This broad support is enabled by its robust local infrastructure, which includes three availability zones in Indonesia.
Tencent Cloud's introduction of its AI agent suite marks a significant step in supporting Indonesia's digital economy. By providing practical, enterprise-ready tools like WorkBuddy and Miora, the company is enabling businesses to move beyond theory and into real-world AI application. This strategic expansion, backed by strong local partnerships and infrastructure, solidifies Tencent Cloud's role as a key enabler of technological advancement in the region.
