Australian industrial AI startup Syncrowin has raised US$3 million in a Pre-Seed funding round to help energy and manufacturing operators reduce breakdowns, waste, production delays, and equipment downtime. The round was led by New York-based Collide Capital, with participation from Hustle Fund, POV Ventures, Australia's Co-Ventures and Ventari, and angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and expand deployments across critical industries.

Investor Backing and Strategic Focus

Collide Capital managing partner Aaron Samuels said the founders' hands-on experience inside industrial sites was a key factor in the firm's decision to lead the round. He added that this background is visible in how they build technology for real plant environments. The funding syndicate includes both United States and Australian investors, giving Syncrowin access to expertise across two major markets.

AI Platform for Industrial Efficiency

Syncrowin pulls together data from machinery, sensors, maintenance records, and business software to identify operational problems and recommend fixes. The platform combines readings such as temperature, pressure, and vibration with maintenance logs to give operators a clear view of where equipment is underperforming. It can flag a pump that is slowing production and suggest replacing a filter before larger failures occur.

The core objective is to help operators keep existing equipment running and produce more with the assets they already own. This approach reduces waste, lowers operational risks, and avoids unnecessary capital spending on new physical capacity. By prioritizing maintenance and operational issues, the platform turns fragmented data into practical, real-time decisions for teams on the ground.

Founders with Deep Industrial Experience

Cofounder and CEO Aisshwarya Kansakaar and CTO Jaideep Upadhyay have engineering backgrounds spanning mechatronics, mechanical and industrial systems, and AI. The pair met while studying at the University of Melbourne and previously worked on infrastructure projects for major companies including AB InBev and BHP. Kansakaar, Victoria's 2025 Young Australian of the Year, grew up in Nepal, where unreliable electricity shaped her interest in resilient infrastructure.

Kansakaar said the world is spending trillions planning new industrial capacity, but a significant portion of what is needed already exists and is not running intelligently. She also noted that critical infrastructure is not a playground for experimentation, underscoring the company's focus on reliable industrial solutions. Upadhyay added that the next era of industry will be defined by intelligence layered across physical assets, becoming as fundamental as the assets themselves.

Momentum and Expansion Plans

Syncrowin recently won the Initiate startup pitch competition at the DTECH energy conference in San Diego and was selected for the Energy Labs Scale Up program. The company has also received support from the University of Melbourne's MAP Accelerator, which backs early-stage ventures. The new funding will support growth of its AI and engineering teams across Australia and its San Francisco presence.

With this Pre-Seed round, Syncrowin is positioned to expand its AI-driven maintenance and operations platform across energy and manufacturing. The startup's blend of industrial domain expertise and machine learning addresses a practical need for greater efficiency in existing critical infrastructure. As it scales across Australia and the United States, the company aims to help operators produce more from the assets they already have, reducing breakdowns and waste.
