Swiss aerospace company SWISSto12 has successfully closed a $70 million Series C funding round to enhance its production capabilities. This significant capital injection follows a period of remarkable commercial success and a recent $84.8 million award from the European Space Agency. The funding will enable the company to meet the accelerating demand for its satellite platforms and payload solutions from a global customer base.

A Period of Sustained Commercial Growth

The company's financial trajectory underscores its rapid expansion, reporting revenues of $140 million for 2025. This performance is part of a larger trend, with SWISSto12 achieving a compound annual growth rate of 110% since 2022. Such figures illustrate the company's agility and efficient capital deployment in a burgeoning industry.

SWISSto12's robust financial health is further evidenced by its substantial order book, with total contracted values now exceeding $500 million. This strong pipeline of customer commitments has propelled the company to achieve positive EBITDA in 2026. These metrics signal strong market confidence and a stable foundation for future global growth initiatives.

Strategic Expansion and Product Demand

A key driver of this growth is the HummingSat, the company's compact geostationary satellite product line. SWISSto12 has already secured seven contracts for these satellites with leading global operators, including industry giants SES and Viasat. This market adoption validates the innovative design and capabilities of the HummingSat platform.

Alongside its satellite platforms, the company's HummingLink payload and antenna solutions have seen widespread success across multiple orbits. The business has expanded into low Earth orbit constellation programs and diverse missions throughout Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. To date, more than 2,000 HummingLink solutions are actively deployed in space.

Fueling Future Capabilities

The new $70 million in capital is strategically allocated to scale manufacturing and integration capacity for both product lines. This investment will directly support the company's ability to fulfill its growing pipeline of commercial and government programs. The expansion is crucial for meeting the accelerating demand for its advanced space technologies.

According to CEO and founder Emile de Rijk, space is increasingly recognized as essential global infrastructure. He noted that the company's products support exciting new missions, from direct-to-device connectivity to sovereign communications infrastructure. This funding accelerates SWISSto12's ability to execute on this demand across any payload, platform, or orbit.

This Series C funding round marks a pivotal moment for SWISSto12, reinforcing its position as a leading enabler of the new space economy. Backed by impressive financial growth and a strong portfolio of contracts, the company is well-equipped to scale its operations. The investment will accelerate its mission to deliver disruptive technologies for a diverse range of applications in the evolving satellite and telecommunications market.
