Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at Accelya, a global software provider for the airline industry. In that role, he was responsible for leading corporate strategy and overseeing both internal and product-focused artificial intelligence programs.

Prior to his tenure at Accelya, Lunkes spent several years with Vista Consulting Group, where he managed post-acquisition business process and systems optimization. He successfully guided these initiatives across more than 20 different companies, demonstrating his skill in driving operational improvements. Earlier in his career, Lunkes also served for a decade as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, honing his leadership skills.
