Soufflé Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on RNA therapies, announced the closing of an oversubscribed US$135 million Series B financing on October 13, 2026. The round was led by Juvia Group and attracted a broadened syndicate of leading institutional investors. The funding will support the company's first clinical studies and accelerate progress in preclinical development.

Expanded Syndicate and Investor Confidence

The Series B round welcomes TCG Crossover Management, BB Biotech, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Balyasny Asset Management, and a leading sovereign wealth fund as new investors. These institutions join a syndicate that already includes Amgen Ventures, ARCH Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Temasek. The expanded group reflects strong conviction in Soufflé's team, product engine, and pipeline.

Existing Support and Strategic Validation

Existing investors that participated in the round include Breyer Capital, The Invus Group, Janus Henderson, Leaps by Bayer, Polaris Partners, Safar Partners, TAS Partners, and Vida Ventures. The continued support from these firms signals confidence in the company's scientific foundation and clinical direction. Soufflé is led by an experienced team with a proven track record in discovery, development, and commercialization of potential best-in-class therapies.

Clinical Advancement Plans

Proceeds from the Series B will support the progress of Soufflé's three lead programs into clinical studies and expedite additional preclinical development. The most advanced program targets striated muscle to address facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, a condition with significant unmet need and no approved disease-modifying therapies. The second program targets the phospholamban gene in cardiomyocytes to treat heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, and the third is an undisclosed target for muscle and metabolic disorders.

REMEDY Platform and Therapeutic Potential

Soufflé's proprietary product engine, REMEDY, enables cell-specific delivery of oligonucleotide therapies outside the liver. The platform systematically identifies internalizing receptors and generates proprietary binders, such as monoclonal antibodies, to deliver therapies to specific tissues via these receptors. This approach has the potential to enable development of highly potent, safe, and durable therapies that are differentiated across a range of diseases.

Leadership and Investor Perspectives

Chief Executive Officer Amir Nashat said the confidence this exceptional group of investors has placed in Soufflé supports the company's belief that the REMEDY platform can make an impact in patients' lives. Stefan Vitorovic of Juvia Group added that cell-selective delivery could change what medicines can achieve for patients across countless diseases. Chen Yu of TCGX noted that the lead programs in FSHD and heart failure are making meaningful progress in two diseases with very limited treatment options.
