Enterprise software startup SciFin has emerged from stealth with $44 million in seed funding to develop an artificial intelligence platform designed to help revenue teams turn fragmented business information into actionable insights. The financing was co-led by Altimeter and Madrona, with participation from Foundation Capital, S32, Zetta Ventures, and other investors. Founded in 2024 by Mohit Aron, co-founder of Nutanix and founder of Cohesity, SciFin is initially targeting sales, revenue operations, and finance teams within complex organizations.

Tackling the Enterprise Context Gap

SciFin is built around what the company describes as the “Context Gap,” referring to the disconnect between information stored across corporate systems and the complete picture executives need to make decisions. As organizations adopt more customer relationship management software, forecasting platforms, communication tools, spreadsheets, and specialized applications, important information can become fragmented or outdated across different workflows. SciFin aims to continuously combine and reconcile this information so employees can understand what is happening across accounts, deals, forecasts, representatives, territories, customer conversations, and operating processes.

Building a System of Reality

Rather than functioning as another isolated sales application, SciFin is positioning its platform as a continuously maintained source of business context that can operate alongside existing enterprise systems. Aron developed the concept after observing that executives and employees often spend substantial amounts of time gathering information and conducting meetings simply to establish an accurate view of customers, pipelines, and operations. The company believes AI becomes more useful when it operates on reliable and current organizational context rather than fragmented information taken independently from individual systems.

AI Companion Pixie Supports Revenue Teams

At the center of SciFin's user experience is Pixie, an AI companion that converts the platform's consolidated business context into answers, reports, insights, and recommended actions. Employees can use the system to prepare for customer meetings, maintain current deal information, identify risks, review forecasts, and determine priorities without manually reconstructing information from multiple applications. SciFin also intends to make its AI accessible through several interfaces, including its web application as well as voice, email, Slack, and WhatsApp, allowing employees to interact with business information through familiar communication channels.

Agentic Technology Connects Enterprise Information

Underlying the platform is technology Madrona describes as an “Agentic Mesh,” a network of connected AI agents designed to continuously assemble and maintain contextual information from the tools and systems already used by revenue organizations. The architecture is intended to resolve conflicting information, preserve historical changes, manage permissions, and create an updated representation of activity across deals, accounts, employees, and territories. SciFin is also developing integrated capabilities spanning forecasting, prospecting, sales enablement, engagement, conversational intelligence, and account and deal intelligence as it seeks to reduce reliance on disconnected point solutions.

Experienced Enterprise Software Leadership

Aron brings extensive enterprise infrastructure experience to SciFin after previously co-founding Nutanix and founding data management company Cohesity, while earlier working as a lead engineer on Google's distributed storage technology. SciFin's broader founding team includes engineers and operators with experience at companies including Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Nutanix, Cohesity, and Rubrik. Investors have highlighted Aron's previous experience building technologies that unify fragmented enterprise data as a key factor behind their decision to support his latest company.

Expanding Product Development and Market Reach

SciFin plans to use its new capital to accelerate product development, expand its go-to-market operations, grow its customer base, and broaden the range of enterprise information its platform can understand. Although revenue organizations represent its initial market, Aron sees opportunities for the underlying approach to support additional corporate functions, including finance and quarterly business planning. The company's strategy also allows customers to retain existing tools they consider valuable while potentially consolidating overlapping applications as SciFin assumes more functions across the revenue technology stack.

SciFin's launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI toward systems that not only generate responses but also maintain the contextual information required for reliable business decisions. With $44 million in seed backing and a founding team experienced in large-scale enterprise infrastructure, the company is entering a competitive market where businesses are increasingly looking to simplify software stacks while making operational data more useful. Its early focus will be demonstrating whether continuously maintained context can help revenue organizations identify risks sooner, reduce administrative work, and make faster decisions across increasingly complex enterprise environments.
