Saber Money, a payment infrastructure company, announced strategic funding from Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, and Hong Kong-based CMCC Global's Titan Fund. The company enables financial institutions, fintechs, and businesses to move money across key emerging market corridors. The new capital will support expansion across Asia-Pacific and the Gulf region, including new local licenses and B2B payment products.

Strategic Expansion Across Asia-Pacific and the Gulf

The funding will help Saber deepen its presence in existing corridors while expanding into additional emerging markets in Asia-Pacific and the Gulf region. A key focus will be securing local licenses and banking relationships that enable deeper payment capabilities and improved settlement economics within each market. Saber currently holds licenses, registrations, and authorizations in Canada, the EU, India, and Australia.

Stablecoin Infrastructure for Emerging Markets

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said emerging markets are where the next chapter of global payments is being written, with stablecoins as the enabling infrastructure. He noted that Saber has built regulatory depth and market access across Asia and the Middle East. Ardoino added that stablecoin settlement in this use case changes the economics for everyone involved.

Rapid Growth and Regulatory Footprint

Saber has processed billions of dollars across more than 40 countries over the past nine months. Its payment volumes have grown over 6x, and more than 90% of payments are processed in under one minute. The company also operates Mudrex, one of the largest crypto exchanges in India, which reinforces its local market presence.

Operational Model and Investor Backing

Saber supports businesses in sectors such as remittances, payroll, and fintech with easy-to-use APIs, strong compliance systems, and round-the-clock support. The company is backed by tier 1 investors including Y-Combinator, Nexus Ventures, Tether, and CMCC Global's Titan Fund. Its payment infrastructure is designed to connect emerging market financial systems with global stablecoin liquidity.

B2B Payments and Regional Demand

The company plans to expand into B2B payments, where businesses face friction when paying suppliers, managing treasury, and moving working capital internationally. Asia accounts for roughly 35% of global payment flows, while South Asia and the East Asia-Pacific region together receive more than $1 trillion annually. The GCC remains one of the world's most important sources of outbound payments, with the UAE alone sending approximately AED 188 billion in remittances in 2025.

Investor Confidence and Long-Term Vision

Shiau Sin Yen, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Titan Fund, said Saber sits at the convergence of a vast market opportunity and a generational shift in financial infrastructure. He said Asia is home to some of the world's largest cross-border payment corridors, contributing to about 53% of global remittances. With cross-border B2B stablecoin payments projected to reach $5 trillion by 2035, Titan Fund believes Saber can become a category-defining global payments company.

The investment from Tether and Titan Fund marks the next phase of Saber's ambition to build a payment network connecting emerging market financial systems with global stablecoin liquidity. Saber CEO Edul Patel said the company gives businesses stablecoin-powered payment rails into Asia-Pacific and the Gulf region, bringing near instant, 24/7, and cost-effective settlement infrastructure. The funding will support regional licenses, banking relationships, and expanded B2B payment products.
