London-based EV charging payments startup Rightcharge has raised £500,000 in growth financing to support its expansion across Europe and further develop its platform for managing fleet charging costs. The round was led by existing investor Soulmates Ventures, with participation from BlackWood Ventures and Purple Ventures, which have also previously backed the company. Rightcharge plans to use the new capital to accelerate customer acquisition, strengthen strategic partnerships, expand into additional European markets, and continue improving its technology.

Simplifying Fleet Charging Payments

Founded and led by CEO Charlie Cook, Rightcharge provides a platform designed to bring home and public EV charging payments into a single system for fleet operators. Its technology can automate reimbursement for electricity used by employees to charge company vehicles at home, while also consolidating charging costs and providing fleet managers with greater visibility into expenditure and carbon emissions. By replacing manual expense claims and fragmented payment processes, the company aims to make electric fleet administration simpler for employers and drivers.

Addressing Growing Fleet Complexity

Managing charging expenses has become increasingly complicated as businesses transition corporate fleets from combustion vehicles to electric models, particularly because drivers may charge at home or across multiple public charging networks. Different tariffs, billing structures, charging providers, and reimbursement processes can create additional administrative work for companies that need to accurately track business-related energy use. Rightcharge positions its platform as infrastructure that can centralize these processes and provide companies with a more consistent way to manage fleet charging payments.

Building on Previous Funding

The latest financing follows Rightcharge's £1.6 million seed round announced in October 2025, which was also led by Soulmates Ventures with backing from BlackWood Ventures and Purple Ventures. That investment supported the company's efforts to scale its fleet charging payment technology and broaden its European presence, with Rightcharge now operating across the UK, France, and Germany. The continued participation of existing investors gives the startup additional resources to extend that expansion while building relationships with fleet suppliers and other industry partners.

Cost and Expansion Strategy

Rightcharge says its platform can help fleets reduce charging expenditure by encouraging greater use of lower-cost home charging and reducing the administrative burden associated with reimbursement, although savings vary depending on tariffs and charging behavior. The company has stated that fleets using its technology can achieve charging cost reductions of up to 90 percent and carbon emission reductions of around 30 percent. As Rightcharge grows, further product development will also be important for adapting its platform to differences in energy markets, taxation, reimbursement practices, and charging infrastructure across European countries.

The £500,000 investment gives Rightcharge additional funding to expand a platform focused on one of the operational challenges emerging alongside the wider electrification of commercial vehicle fleets. By combining public charging payments, home charging reimbursement, billing, and emissions information within one system, the company is seeking to reduce the complexity businesses face when managing growing numbers of electric vehicles. With support from returning investors, Rightcharge will now focus on expanding its European customer base, developing its technology, and strengthening its position within the fleet charging ecosystem.
