Razorpay Curlec has announced that it is now live with DuitNow Pay in Malaysia, making it one of the first Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) participants to offer the checkout service to local businesses. The integration gives online merchants access to a single payment screen that combines online banking and e-wallet options. It is designed to reduce checkout drop-offs, improve security, and help businesses capture more completed transactions.
A Unified Checkout Experience
The DuitNow Pay integration brings together online banking and e-wallet options in a single checkout screen. Customers can select DuitNow Pay from the merchant's payment list and search for their preferred bank or e-wallet. The mobile-first design reflects the fact that 78 percent of online checkouts occur on mobile devices, while a searchable bank list removes the need to scan through many icons.
How the Checkout Flow Works
When a customer selects DuitNow Pay, they can type the first letters of their preferred bank or e-wallet to filter the available options. After choosing a provider, they are redirected to a secure login portal to enter their credentials and approve authentication through their bank's native mobile app. Once authorization is successful, the customer is automatically returned to the merchant's checkout page.
Expanded Payment Coverage and Security
The integration supports payments from current and savings accounts, credit lines, and e-wallets through one entry point. Customers do not need to enter sensitive card details at checkout, which can improve security and increase buyer confidence. Razorpay Curlec expects these features to help businesses reduce drop-offs and achieve faster, more secure conversions.
Automatic Upgrades and Future Capabilities
Razorpay Curlec said that as PayNet expands the DuitNow Pay platform, businesses using the integration will automatically receive future upgrades without additional technical work. The company also plans to introduce saved payments, recurring payment support for subscriptions, instalments, and scheduled billing. No specific timeline has been provided for these additional features in Malaysia.
Malaysia's Digital Payments Momentum
The launch arrives amid strong growth in Malaysia's digital payment activity. PayNet reported processing 8.44 billion transactions in 2025, while Bank Negara Malaysia recorded 18.4 billion e-payment transactions over the same period. That represents a 25 percent increase from 2024 and highlights the rising demand for streamlined online payment methods across the country.
Strategic Timing and Merchant Benefits
By going live as one of the first PayNet participants to offer DuitNow Pay, Razorpay Curlec is positioning itself at the front of Malaysia's real-time payment expansion. Merchants gain a single integration that consolidates multiple payment methods, which can simplify reconciliation and reduce backend complexity. The company is also promoting the launch as a way for businesses to future-proof their online checkouts as PayNet continues to develop the platform.
Availability for Merchants
The DuitNow Pay option is now available in Malaysia through the Razorpay Curlec platform. Existing merchants can contact their account manager or support team to activate the capability, while new businesses can visit the Curlec website to get started. Enabling the feature once will allow future PayNet updates to be delivered automatically.
Razorpay Curlec's DuitNow Pay launch gives Malaysian businesses a more consolidated checkout tool at a time of double-digit growth in electronic payments. By combining bank and e-wallet options with a mobile-first design and planned recurring billing features, the integration aims to reduce checkout friction and improve conversion. Its position as an early PayNet participant may also give merchants faster access to future payment innovations.
