Protecht has acquired the artificial intelligence powered risk platform VISO TRUST to enhance its governance, risk and compliance capabilities across global markets. The acquisition is intended to simplify third party risk at scale and accelerate enhancement of Protecht’s existing platform for customers. This move follows the US$280 million investment from PSG Equity that Protecht secured a year earlier to support its global growth strategy.

Strategic Market Expansion

This acquisition represents a significant step in Protecht’s global expansion strategy. The company is described in the release as an Australian-based global leader in governance, risk and compliance solutions. The release also says the broader risk management market is expected to grow at a 11.5% compound annual growth rate to US$41.7 billion by 2034. It adds that while 83% of enterprise organisations expect to expand their third party networks over the next three years, only 18% have fully integrated vendor risk management into their enterprise frameworks.

Technological Advancements

Customers are expected to benefit from a unified solution that delivers AI-powered vendor risk assessments to support onboarding and due diligence. The integrated platform uses AI agents to automate governance, risk and compliance workflows, helping reduce manual input and improve speed and scale for risk teams. The release also says the combined offering will provide continuous monitoring of third-party and fourth-party risk across complex vendor networks.

Leadership Perspectives

Protecht Chief Executive Officer Jason Phillips said VISO TRUST’s agentic third party risk capabilities complement and enhance Protecht’s existing platform, helping customers manage risk across enterprise and vendor ecosystems. Paul Valente, Co-founder and Chief Customer Officer of VISO TRUST, said the combination would allow the businesses to meet demand at scale by combining AI and agent capabilities with Protecht’s platform. The release also states that Paul Valente and Russ Sherman, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, will remain with the business in their existing roles.

Operational Benefits

According to the release, the combined platform will give organisations the speed and insight needed to stay ahead of third party and cyber threats without adding headcount. Customers are also expected to benefit from enhanced analytics and data-driven insights designed for board-ready risk reporting. Protecht says its solutions help organisations move from spreadsheets and manual processes to more efficient and integrated systems.

Addressing Security Challenges

The release says enterprise organisations are expanding their third party networks faster than they can manage the associated risk. It states that many remain exposed as cyber threats increasingly emerge through external partners. VISO TRUST is described as an AI-powered third-party and cyber risk management platform that helps organisations automate and scale risk assessments, reduce manual workload, and gain real-time visibility into vendor risk. The company says its platform delivers analytics and continuous monitoring to strengthen enterprise and supply chain risk programs.

Future Industry Impact

The release positions the integration as a differentiated offering within the governance, risk and compliance market by combining Protecht’s platform with VISO TRUST’s AI and agent capabilities. It says the unified approach is designed to help organisations manage risk across enterprise and vendor ecosystems more effectively as third party networks grow more complex. Protecht also notes that it serves customers across sectors including government, financial services, education, and other industries.

The acquisition of VISO TRUST strengthens Protecht’s position in the evolving risk management sector. By combining its existing governance, risk and compliance platform with VISO TRUST’s AI-powered third party risk capabilities, Protecht says it will offer customers a more integrated solution for managing vendor and enterprise risk. The release presents the deal as part of Protecht’s ongoing execution of its international growth and platform expansion strategy.
