Montréal-based hospitality technology firm Pricepoint has successfully closed a $6.6 million CAD seed funding round. The investment was led by Brightspark Ventures and will fuel the expansion of its AI-native revenue management platform. This capital injection is set to accelerate the company's mission to help hotels and accommodation providers optimize their pricing strategies in real time.

Strategic Investment and Leadership

The funding round was exclusively supported by Québec-based investors, with Brightspark Ventures leading the charge. Participation also came from Boreal Ventures and AQC Capital, demonstrating strong local confidence in the startup's potential. This all-Québec cap table underscores the strength and collaborative nature of the province's technology ecosystem.

As part of the financing, Pricepoint is welcoming two seasoned technology leaders to its board of directors. Sophie Forest, Managing Partner at Brightspark, brings experience from backing high-growth companies like Hopper. She is joined by JD Saint-Martin, Managing Partner at Boreal Ventures and former President of Lightspeed Commerce, adding significant strategic depth.

Redefining Revenue Management with AI

Pricepoint distinguishes itself from legacy platforms by moving beyond simple recommendations to automated execution. Its system continuously analyzes live demand signals, booking behaviors, and market conditions to implement pricing strategies automatically. This proactive approach eliminates the need for manual approval, allowing for dynamic adjustments that maximize revenue for hospitality operators.

The company emphasizes its "AI-native" foundation, having built its platform around artificial intelligence from its inception. This contrasts with older systems that have recently repositioned themselves as "AI-powered" by adding features to existing architecture. Pricepoint argues this fundamental difference positions it to lead the structural shift occurring in the revenue management system category.

According to Sophie Forest of Brightspark, the platform's ability to execute pricing changes in real time based on property-specific data yields tangible results. This effectiveness is what captures the attention of hotel operators seeking a competitive edge. The industry is rapidly modernizing, and Pricepoint is poised to capture a significant share of the market for independent hotels.

Fueling Growth and Global Expansion

The new capital will be strategically allocated to accelerate investment in product and engineering. A key focus will be on expanding the platform's integration ecosystem to connect with more property management systems. Furthermore, the funds will be used to strengthen the company's core AI infrastructure to support its growing operations.

To support this ambitious growth, Pricepoint plans to double its current team of 35 employees. This expansion of talent is crucial for driving product development and enhancing customer support on a global scale. The company is preparing to scale its operations significantly to meet increasing international demand for its innovative platform.

This $6.6 million seed round marks a significant milestone for Pricepoint, validating its disruptive approach in the hospitality technology sector. With fresh capital, an expanded leadership team, and a clear vision, the company is strongly positioned for rapid growth. Pricepoint is now equipped to scale its AI-native platform globally, aiming to become an indispensable tool for modern accommodation providers.
