Piaspace, a South Korean AI video analytics company, has signed a contract to supply its real-time solution MACS to Ad Lib Hotel and KAEN.KET shopping mall in Thailand. The agreement was finalized on October 1 at the shopping mall in Khon Kaen, expanding Piaspace's footprint from public safety into commercial facilities. Both properties operate under Mitr Phol Group and follow the company's earlier work with the Khon Kaen Police control center.
Real-Time Incident Detection for Commercial Facilities
MACS analyzes existing CCTV video with AI to detect safety and security incidents in real time, including fire, smoke, falls, and weapons. The solution works with current video infrastructure, so facilities do not need to install dedicated cameras or build a new camera network. This flexibility allows MACS to be applied across hotels, shopping malls, and other high traffic environments where rapid response is critical.
Proven Deployments in High Traffic Environments
Piaspace has already deployed MACS at major domestic multi-use facilities, including Hyundai Department Store Cheonho and Daegu Banwoldang underground shopping mall. The company is now applying that field experience to serve private sector clients in Thailand beyond the public safety market. The new contract covers both a hotel and a shopping mall, two settings with large visitor flows that demand fast recognition of dangerous situations.

Piaspace first introduced MACS to the Khon Kaen Police control center, gaining local implementation experience and a public safety reference in the region. Beyond Thailand, Piaspace has completed two successful proof of concept projects with Vanguard Healthcare, a leading senior care provider in Singapore. The company says it has met vendor registration requirements and expects a contract in the first quarter of 2027. These experiences across public safety, commercial facilities, and healthtech allow Piaspace to identify local demand and extend its Southeast Asian business base.

Chief Executive Officer Yoo Hyun-soo described the contract as the result of building trust with local partners and accumulating real deployment experience in Khon Kaen. He noted that the police control center reference enabled the company to extend into hotels and shopping malls, and pledged continued expansion in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Piaspace also credited the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok global expansion program, operated with Thailand's National Innovation Agency, for supporting market research, networking, and investor pitching.
