Orq.ai, an enterprise platform for managing production-grade AI agents, has successfully secured €5 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round. The investment, led by seed + speed Ventures and Galion.exe, brings the company's total funding to €7.3 million since its inception in 2022. This new capital will fuel Orq.ai's mission to help enterprises bridge the critical gap between AI prototypes and reliable, compliant, and scalable deployment.

Addressing the AI Production Gap

Many organizations struggle to transition AI models from promising demonstrations into real-world applications due to fragmented tools and governance challenges. This industry-wide “production gap” is marked by unclear agent behavior, a lack of observability, and significant compliance hurdles that slow innovation. Orq.ai directly confronts these issues by providing a structured framework that simplifies the path to live deployment for complex AI systems.

The platform offers a unified control layer that streamlines the entire AI agent lifecycle, reportedly enabling teams to ship new systems 67% faster. By eliminating the need to build foundational infrastructure from scratch, companies can free up over 10% of their engineering capacity. This allows technical teams to focus on creating business value rather than managing the underlying complexities of AI orchestration.

A Unified Platform for Enterprise Control

Central to Orq.ai's offering are its Agent Studio and managed runtime, which provide teams with comprehensive tools for development and management. Unlike disconnected point solutions, the platform integrates experimentation, evaluation, observability, and governance into a single, cohesive environment. This end-to-end approach ensures that teams can build, monitor, and improve agents without suffering from system fragmentation or data silos.

According to co-founder Sohrab Hosseini, engineering teams require robust infrastructure to industrialize agent deployment effectively. The platform is designed to give them precise control over how agents behave and how data moves through their systems. This clarity is essential for maintaining operational stability, ensuring consistent performance at scale, and building trust in automated decision-making processes.

Navigating the Regulatory Landscape

As regulations like GDPR and the forthcoming EU AI Act become more stringent, enterprises face increasing pressure to ensure full compliance. Orq.ai addresses this by building complete traceability into its platform, allowing companies to track data origins and movements with precision. This visibility helps demystify agent actions and ensures that decision-making processes are both transparent and fully auditable for regulatory review.

A key feature of the platform is its infrastructure-agnostic architecture, which supports cloud, hybrid, and fully on-premise deployments. This flexibility is critical for organizations in regulated industries that must adhere to strict data residency and sovereignty requirements. It empowers enterprises to leverage advanced AI without compromising on security or control over their most sensitive information and operations.

Strategic Investment and Future Growth

The funding round saw enthusiastic support from new and existing investors, reflecting strong confidence in the company's vision and technology. Alexander Kölpin of seed + speed Ventures noted that Orq.ai is building an essential platform for AI agent orchestration. The company also welcomes strategic industry advisors, including Adriaan Mol of Mollie and Daniel Gebler of Picnic, to guide its expansion.

With this new capital, Orq.ai plans to accelerate its platform development and strategically expand its team across key functions. The company will focus on enhancing its Agent Runtime and AI Studio while growing its engineering, sales, and customer success departments. These efforts will support deeper penetration into European markets and fuel a calculated expansion into North America.

This €5 million investment marks a significant milestone for Orq.ai, validating its mission to solve the complex challenges of enterprise AI deployment. By providing a stable and compliant foundation, the company is empowering over 100 organizations to move beyond experimentation and scale their AI initiatives reliably. Orq.ai is positioning itself as a critical infrastructure provider for the next generation of enterprise software.
