Opply, an agentic operating system for consumer packaged goods brands, has raised US$7.5 million to expand its international footprint and accelerate product development. The company, based in Chicago and London, said gross revenue grew 15-fold in 12 months, while its US business expanded 30-fold after launching Chicago operations in 2025. The round was led by Chalfen Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Anthemis, Entrepreneurs First, In This Together, and Ventures Together.

A vertical AI growth story

Opply is capitalizing on the rapid rise of vertical AI, which McKinsey and Company research identifies as a surging area of investment. Industry-specific AI technologies are increasingly designed to transform complex business operations rather than provide generic insights. Opply says it goes beyond AI-driven analysis to actively execute and finance transactions for consumer packaged goods companies.

Rapid growth and transatlantic expansion

Founded in 2021 by Helen Murphy and Martin Postel, Opply now operates across the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America. The company positions itself as the agentic operating system for the global CPG industry, helping brands move from recommendations to active operational execution. Its rapid expansion reflects rising demand for technologies that manage complex workflows end to end.

Beyond analysis to automated execution

Opply Brain combines specialized AI agents, proprietary data, and an extensive supplier network to run core operational workflows. The platform handles sourcing, procurement, financing, inventory, production planning, and logistics for food and beverage brands. By actively executing and financing transactions, the company says it reduces operational complexity and allows brand teams to concentrate on product innovation and profitability.

A large CPG market opportunity

The global CPG market is forecast to reach US$18.9 trillion by 2031, according to Allied Market Research. In the United States alone, the sector contributes US$2.5 trillion to GDP and supports 22.3 million jobs, based on data from the Consumer Brands Association and PwC. Opply is targeting this market by turning fragmented, manual supply chain processes into an intelligent engine for growth.

Investor backing for an operating system

Chalfen Ventures founder Mike Chalfen said Opply has all the ingredients to become a globally significant business. He cited custom AI systems that have proven to make customer operations work end to end, exceptional growth, and a large market opportunity. Chalfen added that the company has the potential to become the operational backbone of a multi-trillion-dollar global industry.

Customer impact and leadership view

Customers including UK drinks innovator Agua de Madre and US kombucha brand RMBR are demonstrating the platform's impact. The company reports cost reductions of 40% and a 12-fold return on investment within 12 months for some users. Co-founder and CEO Helen Murphy said the technology does the work rather than only telling brands what needs to be done, covering sourcing, procurement, payments, and supply chains.

The new capital will support Opply as it brings its operating model to more businesses, from ambitious emerging brands to major global players. By combining specialized AI, supplier networks, and flexible financing, the company is building a competitive advantage in the global CPG sector. Its rapid growth across the UK and US signals that industry-specific AI execution is gaining commercial traction.
