Los Angeles-based Uniform Labs announced on October 15, 2026, that it had closed a seed funding round for Multiliquid, its institutional liquidity platform for tokenized assets. Polychain led the round, with backing from five additional venture investors. The financing brings Multiliquid's cumulative pre-seed and seed funding to $8 million as the company develops infrastructure for faster movement between tokenized investments and stablecoins.
Funding and Investor Support
Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures participated alongside Polychain in the seed financing. The company did not disclose the amount raised in the seed round alone or its valuation. Founder and CEO Will Beeson told The Block that the pre-seed financing took place in 2025, followed by the seed round between April and June 2026.
According to Beeson, the earlier financing used a simple agreement for future equity, while the seed round was structured as priced equity. Polychain founder Olaf Carlson-Wee identified limited liquidity as a major obstacle to wider institutional use of tokenized assets. The investment reflects interest in infrastructure designed to connect tokenized financial products with assets that institutions can use for immediate payments or trading.
Addressing Settlement Delays
Tokenization allows financial assets such as Treasury funds, money market products, and private credit to be represented and transferred on blockchain networks. However, conventional fund subscription and redemption procedures can still require several days, even when ownership records exist on-chain. These delays can make it difficult for institutions to rebalance holdings, manage collateral needs, or respond quickly to changing market conditions.
Multiliquid aims to reduce this friction by offering an alternative route between eligible tokenized assets and stablecoins. Rather than relying exclusively on a fund issuer's standard redemption process, users can seek liquidity through a single on-chain exchange. The company is positioning this capability as infrastructure for institutions that need access to capital outside traditional market hours.
How Multiliquid Works
The platform facilitates atomic transactions, meaning the asset transfer and stablecoin payment either settle together or do not execute. It is live on Ethereum and Solana, according to reporting by The Block, and supports conversions involving tokenized funds and stablecoins such as USDC. This design is intended to reduce settlement exposure while allowing funds to move between investment and transactional uses.
Multiliquid says its infrastructure supports tokenized products from asset managers including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson, and Fasanara. The supported instruments cover products from established managers, while transfers remain subject to applicable eligibility requirements. The platform is designed to work with compliance requirements attached to tokenized financial instruments, including issuer-defined transfer restrictions and identity checks.
Commercial Rollout and Expansion
Beeson described Multiliquid as a non-custodial platform that applies compliance rules at the settlement layer. Its prospective users include institutional treasuries, asset issuers, market makers, and decentralized finance lending protocols. The company charges fees on completed conversions, although it has not publicly reported transaction volumes or customer totals.
Multiliquid has begun processing initial pilot transactions and is adding liquidity providers, according to Beeson. The funding will support protocol engineering, additional liquidity and trading venue relationships, and integrations with more tokenized cash and Treasury products. The company also plans to expand its team as it develops infrastructure across Ethereum-compatible networks and Solana.
Multiliquid's latest funding announcement highlights a challenge facing the emerging market for tokenized financial assets: digital ownership does not automatically deliver immediate liquidity. Its approach focuses on connecting investment products and stablecoins through continuous settlement rather than changing how underlying funds are managed. With $8 million raised across two financing rounds, the company now faces the task of turning early pilots and technical integrations into sustained institutional use.
