AI security startup Mirror Security has secured $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Sure Valley Ventures and Atlantic Bridge. The investment is aimed at advancing its mission to build a foundational trust layer for the AI economy. This milestone was announced alongside a major multi-million-dollar partnership with Inception AI, signaling strong market confidence in its technology.

Fueling Global Expansion and Innovation

The new capital will fuel a significant expansion of the company's engineering and AI security teams across Ireland, the US, and India. This strategic growth is crucial for scaling operations and accelerating its product roadmap. The investment directly supports the company's ambition to establish a strong global presence in the AI security market.

A key focus for the funds is advancing Mirror Security's core technologies, particularly in encrypted inferencing and secure fine-tuning. This product development push is designed to enhance its platform's capabilities in protecting data during AI processing. These efforts are coupled with a planned expansion into the competitive US enterprise market to capture new growth opportunities.

A New Paradigm in AI Data Protection

Founded in 2024 by Pankaj Thapa and Dr. Aditya Narayana K, Mirror Security is a spin-out from University College Dublin. The company develops AI-native security solutions that protect enterprise data while it is actively used by AI systems. Its core technology leverages fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) to enable computations on encrypted data, ensuring confidentiality.

The company's product suite offers a multi-layered defense for AI environments, including AgentIQ for agentic security and DiscoveR for automated vulnerability detection. Its VectaX FHE solution uses vector encryption to maintain both privacy and high performance. This comprehensive approach addresses the unique security challenges presented by modern AI architectures and their widespread adoption.

Strategic Alliances and Market Validation

Underscoring its market traction, Mirror Security announced a multi-million-dollar strategic agreement with Inception AI, a G42 company. This partnership will see Mirror's full AI security suite deployed across Inception’s enterprise and government ecosystem. The collaboration is set to power secure and scalable AI adoption for a global client base, validating Mirror's technology.

In addition to its landmark deal with Inception AI, the company has also forged alliances with other technology leaders. Key partners include Intel, MongoDB, Qdrant, SiSys AI, and Accops, demonstrating broad industry integration. These collaborations are essential for building an interoperable security framework that supports the diverse and growing AI ecosystem.

Addressing the Urgent Need for AI Trust

The funding arrives as enterprises rapidly adopt AI, creating an urgent need for robust data security and regulatory compliance. As AI systems process increasingly sensitive information, the risk of data leaks becomes a significant barrier to innovation. Mirror Security aims to solve this challenge by providing the necessary safeguards for confidential data handling in AI workflows.

Co-founder Pankaj Thapa stated the company's mission is to build "the trust layer for the AI economy." This vision resonates with the market's demand for a new security paradigm that enables confident innovation. By ensuring data sovereignty and protection by design, the company helps organizations leverage AI without compromising security.

With its new funding and a strong network of strategic partners, Mirror Security is well-equipped to lead in the critical field of AI security. The company's advanced encryption technologies are poised to set a new standard for protecting data across the AI ecosystem. This positions Mirror Security as a vital enabler for enterprises seeking to innovate confidently and securely.
