Marklo, an agentic marketing platform built for brands running on Shopify, has launched its public beta and announced a US$5 million Seed funding round led by Forerunner, with participation from Freestyle Capital. Founded by serial entrepreneur Jessica Herrin, who previously built Stella & Dot Brands into a social selling company with more than US$2 billion in product sales, Marklo helps lean marketing teams determine what to market next. Early users include Away, Clare V., Monica + Andy, Maya Brenner, and Latico Leathers.

The Challenge of Scaling Modern Commerce

Shopify has made starting a business easy, but scaling one has only gotten harder as brands manage more channels, more campaigns, and the same lean teams. Even with artificial intelligence, the hardest part remains knowing which products to market to which customers, on which channel, and when. Marklo addresses this by connecting the tools brands already use and creating one shared view of the entire commercial picture.

How Marklo Unifies Brand Data

Marklo integrates with Shopify, Klaviyo, Attentive, Meta, Google, Slack, Canva, Figma, and other platforms so products, inventory, promotions, campaigns, creative, and results all sit in one system. Once installed, the platform reconstructs launches, promotions, email, SMS, paid media, social activity, and revenue into a day by day, year over year marketing calendar. Teams immediately see what drove sales and what was happening around those results.

Beyond Single-Channel Optimization

Herrin noted that every tool in a brand's stack is getting AI, but each one only sees its own corner of the business. Great merchants do not work that way; they need to know what sold, what is in stock, what has already been promoted, and what competitors are doing. Marklo reads internal data alongside competitor promotions, social trends, and category movement to spot the next revenue opportunity and get work moving.

Proactive Campaign Work for Marketers

Every week, Marklo reviews sales, inventory, and what is already on the calendar, then delivers proposed campaigns and reports to the team in Slack or email. Each proposal includes the reasoning and products behind it, and the platform writes the brief, fills it in, and builds the surrounding work. The marketer decides what to edit, assign, and approve before shipping.

Early Customer Impact

Latico Leathers used Marklo to plan a full month of marketing in one day, replacing a process that previously took most of a week across meetings, spreadsheets, and five different tools. Allison Plaisance, Senior Director of Retention Marketing at Away, said Marklo gives the whole commercial picture and an actionable path forward. Early customers have described the platform as a "no-brainer" and a "CMO Dream."

Investor Confidence and Growth Plans

The US$5 million Seed round will help Marklo grow its product and engineering teams, expand the public beta, and invest in customer success and community programs. Forerunner Founding Partner Kirsten Green said leaner teams doing more with less stand to benefit significantly from intelligence that changes how builders bring products to market and scale. Herrin added that most brands run cross channel marketing from a patchwork of spreadsheets, decks, and ten different logins, and Marklo gives every marketer that picture.

Marklo is opening its public beta as brands prepare for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the broader holiday selling season. Brands running on Shopify can use the platform to see what worked last year, identify overlooked products and campaigns, and optimize this year's marketing plan. Marklo is available in the Shopify App Store and Klaviyo's integrations directory, and customer data remains private and is not used to train AI models.
