The government of Karnataka has officially constituted a 16-member Quantum Task Force, a decisive move aimed at establishing the state as a national leader in quantum technology and innovation. This strategic initiative follows the recent unveiling of the 'Karnataka Quantum Roadmap' and is designed to oversee its comprehensive implementation. The task force's creation signals a strong commitment to harnessing the transformative potential of quantum science for economic and technological advancement within the region.


Distinguished Leadership and Governance

Guiding this prestigious body is Chairman Professor Arindam Ghosh, a JRD Tata Chair Professor and JC Bose National Fellow from the esteemed Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The Director of the Department of Science and Technology for Karnataka will serve as the Member Secretary, ensuring seamless coordination between the task force and government operations. This leadership structure is designed to provide both high-level scientific vision and effective administrative execution for the state's quantum ambitions.
