Brazilian autonomous AI startup Jabuti AGI has named Vanessa Ferreira as its new Chief Product Officer. Ferreira spent more than two decades at TecBan, the company behind Banco24Horas, where she became the first woman to serve as IT superintendent. She now joins the AI native company to lead product strategy for regulated sectors as it pursues aggressive revenue growth over the next two years.
Proven Leadership in Financial Technology
Ferreira brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services technology, having joined TecBan as a trainee and later rising to executive roles. At TecBan she led the modernization of architectures and APIs while advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence from experimentation to scale. This operational background in critical banking infrastructure directly supports Jabuti AGI's focus on automation inside heavily regulated environments.
A Career Built on Financial Infrastructure
During her time at TecBan, Ferreira started as a trainee when the network had fewer than 1,000 terminals. The company now connects more than 150 financial institutions, serves millions of Brazilians, and processes billions of transactions across a broad self-service banking ecosystem. Over the past three years she led the group's corporate artificial intelligence journey, moving the technology from pilots into scaled use cases recognized by the market.
Product Mandate for Regulated Sectors
As Chief Product Officer, Ferreira will oversee product vision, strategy, development, and portfolio management for clients in finance, insurance, and telecommunications. She stated that large corporations do not need more artificial intelligence experiments but rather solutions that operate with scale, governance, and real integration to corporate systems. Her leadership roles include the Brazil chapter of IIBA and initiatives such as MCIO and Elas na Tecnologia.
Technology Built for Autonomous Operations
Founded in 2023 by Cecílio Cosac Fraguas, a former Itaú superintendent, Jabuti AGI develops autonomous, multichannel, and multimodal agents for critical operations. The company's platform replaces informational chatbots with artificial intelligence agents that can understand, decide, and execute tasks end to end without human intervention. Its nine enterprise clients include Banco BV, Porto Bank, Suhai Seguradora, and Núclea, collectively reaching 15 million consumers.
Funding, Alliances, and Revenue Goals
The startup secured R$2.1 million in backing from DOMO.VC and recorded growth of 700% in 2025. It projects revenue of R$25 million in 2026 and aims to triple that figure to R$50 million by 2027. Jabuti AGI has also formed global alliances with Google, AWS, and Microsoft to operate autonomous agents at scale.
Executive and Founder Perspectives
Ferreira announced the transition on LinkedIn, saying she leaves a large company after more than two decades to embrace the challenges of a startup. She described her professional conviction as leading digital transformation seriously, connecting technology to business needs and generating real impact. Founder Cecílio Cosac Fraguas added that her leadership in Brazilian banking infrastructure gives her the seniority to deliver automation without violating compliance.
The appointment underscores Jabuti AGI's shift from artificial intelligence experimentation toward production-grade autonomous operations for regulated markets. Ferreira's operational background, combined with global cloud partnerships, positions the company to address complex governance and information security requirements. As the startup works toward R$50 million in revenue by 2027, executive depth is likely to play a decisive role in its scaling strategy.
