Conditions such as preeclampsia, which affects up to 8% of all pregnancies, place immense strain on families and healthcare systems. Current diagnostic tools often fall short, identifying risks only after complications have already begun to manifest, limiting the window for effective intervention.
The Science Behind the MaiRa Platform
The MaiRa platform is the culmination of over a decade of research by co-founders Professor Carlos Simón and Dr. Tamara Garrido. Their groundbreaking work demonstrates that molecular signals linked to pregnancy complications can be detected in maternal blood during the first trimester.
