Platform and Product Capabilities
Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI uses AI-powered voice agents to automate frontline workforce operations such as hiring, onboarding, training, and employee engagement. Its two products, Hunar Voice and Hunar Connect, interact with candidates and employees through voice calls, WhatsApp, and chat. The software handles candidate screening, interview scheduling, onboarding, training, and follow-up communication in more than 20 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Growth and Client Adoption
Hunar.AI serves businesses across quick commerce, e-commerce, logistics, mobility, financial services, healthcare, and retail. Its client list includes Swiggy, Delhivery, Instamart, Pronto, Blue Dart, Flipkart, Aditya Birla Capital, and Tata Croma. The company said its AI agents handled more than 15 million conversations in September 2026, with conversation volumes doubling every quarter.
Use of Funds and Strategic Direction
The company plans to use the proceeds for AI infrastructure, product development, sales and market expansion, working capital needs, capital expenditure, operations, and business expansion. Hunar.AI is investing in AI models, task coordination systems, and performance assessment tools to make its software more reliable for large volumes of interactions. It is also moving toward pricing linked to business outcomes rather than relying only on per-user charges.
Investor Commentary
Rathnakar Samavedam, managing partner at HAF.VC, said Hunar.AI's roots in services gave it a deep understanding of frontline workflows, and the company has built that context into its product. This experience helps the platform address practical workforce challenges rather than relying on generic AI models. The participation of multiple investors reflects confidence in Hunar.AI's ability to scale across industries and languages.
Financial Performance
The company is yet to file its FY26 financials, and the latest funding is expected to support its expansion plans. For FY25, Hunar.AI reported operating revenue of ₹1.70 crore, up from ₹47 lakh in FY24, while losses increased to ₹5.56 crore. The higher losses reflect spending on AI infrastructure, product development, and market expansion.
Hunar.AI's Series A round underscores increasing investor confidence in enterprise AI solutions tailored to frontline workforce management. The company's multilingual voice platform addresses a large and underserved segment, with early traction among major logistics, quick commerce, and retail brands. As it strengthens AI infrastructure and moves toward outcome-linked pricing, Hunar.AI is positioning itself to capture growing demand for scalable, multilingual workforce automation.
