Home care provider Homage has officially launched Esteem AI, a care management software platform designed to handle the administrative work behind home care, aged care, and disability support services. The Singapore-founded company announced on October 21, 2026, that the system, originally built for its own operations, will operate as a standalone regional business alongside its core care services. Homage also said a global rollout will follow the platform's initial availability in Singapore.
From Internal Tool to Standalone Business
Homage developed Esteem AI to manage its own care operations across Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. The software consolidates client intake, rostering, workforce management, incident reporting, customer support, billing, reporting, and compliance into a single system. Homage argues that many agencies still rely on disconnected tools such as a rostering platform, a spreadsheet, and a shared inbox.
The launch arrives at a pivotal moment for Singapore, which became a super-aged society this year with more than one in five citizens aged 65 or older. The Ministry of Health expects the country to have 1 million seniors by 2030. Each additional care recipient brings more visits, notes, audits, and rosters, increasing the administrative burden on care managers.
AI Agents With Human Review
Esteem AI is adding a layer of AI agents that Homage says will draft visit notes from care worker records, suggest replacement carers based on skills and location, and chase expiring certifications. Routine questions from families and workers will also be answered from the client record, with anything requiring judgment passed to a human. Homage stresses that no action affecting care or schedules occurs without a person's approval, and every step is logged.
Despite the agentic framing, several features in the announcement are described as being built rather than currently in production. Homage has not specified exactly how much of the agent functionality is live today. The company's emphasis is on a human-in-the-loop model that aligns with the cautious approach taken by regulated sectors in Southeast Asia.
Early Traction and Customer Use
More than 50 care organizations already use Esteem AI, and more than 90% of them use it as their everyday care management system. In an average month, over 300 care managers rely on the platform, which equates to roughly six managers per organization. The Home Nursing Foundation, a Singapore charity serving more than 1,000 care recipients monthly, runs its home personal care operations on the system.
Homage has not disclosed revenue, pricing, or how many of the more than 50 organizations pay commercial rates. The company also remains a care provider, which raises questions about how customer data will be separated from its own services. Procurement teams in sensitive health sectors are likely to ask those questions before adoption.
Market Competition and Strategic Shift
Esteem AI enters a crowded market, especially in Australia, where platforms such as AlayaCare and ShiftCare already offer all-in-one care management tools. ShiftCare claims more than 6,500 care provider businesses as users. Homage's pitch is that Esteem was built by an operator for operators, which could be an advantage if the AI agents deliver on their roadmap.
The standalone business also suggests a strategic move toward software margins, which are more attractive than labor-intensive care services. Homage has raised more than US$45 million, including a US$30 million Series C led by Temasek-owned Sheares Healthcare in 2021. The company's expansion record, however, counsels caution, as previous plans to enter Japan and several other countries have not visibly materialized.
Esteem AI targets a real and growing problem as Southeast Asia's aging population places more pressure on care systems. If the platform returns a few hours each week to care managers, families and carers may notice the difference. Its success will depend on whether Homage can separate its software and care businesses clearly while proving that the agentic tools work reliably in daily operations.
