GTA Aerospace, an aviation component engineering company based in Jeonju, South Korea, has won the Creative Award at the K-CAMP Gwangju 7th Accelerating Program Final Demo Day. The event was held on October 15 at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center and was designed to showcase promising startups from the Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk regions. The recognition highlights the company's growing role in aircraft interior parts localization and its appeal to investors.

Program Background and Investor Engagement

K-CAMP Gwangju is hosted by the Korea Securities Depository and organized by the accelerator Y&A to support regional startup growth and investment. During the final demo day, GTA Aerospace presented its localization business, core technologies, and long-term growth strategy. The company also exhibited mass-produced and in-development aircraft components, which generated strong interest from investors.

The exhibition allowed attendees to examine the technical features, durability, and commercial potential of the company's cabin interior products. Investor meetings followed the presentation, with discussions centered on product differentiation, certification readiness, and market viability. This level of engagement reflects increasing market confidence in the firm's engineering approach and its ability to scale production.

Product Portfolio and Domestic Leadership

Since its founding in 2023, GTA Aerospace has developed and certified cabin interior components including SHADE, SHADE ASSY, Recline Button, and Roller Covered. This product portfolio has helped the firm emerge as a leading domestic aircraft interior supplier. The company is now using its domestic position as a foundation to pursue opportunities in Europe and the United States.

To meet the demands of global aviation customers, GTA Aerospace is strengthening its production systems and quality management capabilities. These efforts support the company's expansion beyond South Korea and its goal of becoming a competitive aerospace parts specialist. The firm's engineering focus extends to tandem unmanned transport helicopter research, broadening its technology base.

International Certification Roadmap

In 2026, GTA Aerospace plans to apply for Production Organization Approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, commonly known as EASA POA. This certification is a critical step for entering European aviation supply chains and demonstrates compliance with international production standards. The company intends to secure the necessary production and quality systems in a phased manner.

The company has already received parts manufacturing approval, known as K-PMA, from South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. This domestic certification allows it to supply approved components to local airlines and validates its engineering and quality processes. The planned EASA POA initiative would extend that credibility into international markets and support broader export activity.

Leadership Perspective

CEO Park Il-ju described the award as a meaningful opportunity to introduce the company's technology and growth potential to the investment community. He emphasized that GTA Aerospace will continue localizing aircraft interior parts and strengthening its technical competitiveness. He added that overseas market entry will now accelerate through the EASA POA application process and related global partnerships.

GTA Aerospace's Creative Award at K-CAMP Gwangju reflects steady progress in aircraft interior component development and investor communication. The company is pairing domestic certification achievements with a clear international roadmap that includes EASA POA and expansion into European and American markets. As it advances these plans, GTA Aerospace is positioned to become a more visible player in the global aviation supply chain.
