GreenSpark Software and ReMatter have announced a definitive merger, creating a new entity named ReSpark. This combination forms a leading software provider for the metal recycling industry, serving over 800 companies across more than 1,000 facilities. The new company aims to deliver a unified, AI-powered platform to modernize operations for scrap yard businesses globally.

A Unified Platform for a Complex Industry

The metal recycling sector is known for its operational complexity, a challenge that legacy software has struggled to meet. ReSpark CEO Gordon Driscoll noted that the industry deserves a platform that evolves with its operators. The merger is positioned to address this long-standing need for advanced, purpose-built technological infrastructure.

ReSpark integrates GreenSpark’s AI-native facility management with ReMatter’s mobile-first dispatch and compliance tools. This creates a comprehensive platform covering everything from ticketing and logistics to financial workflows and brokerage. The resulting solution is designed to serve operators of all sizes, from single-yard businesses to large multinational enterprises.

Accelerating AI Innovation and Customer Support

The combination of the two companies resolves a key strategic tension between rapid product development and in-depth customer service. Previously, accelerating one area often compromised the other for the individual firms. ReSpark's increased scale enables it to pursue both industry-leading AI innovation and best-in-class customer support without trade-offs.

ReSpark is set to advance agentic AI workflows for tasks like commercial pricing automation and intelligent dispatch. The merger provides the resources to accelerate and deploy these capabilities across its entire customer base at an enterprise grade. This technology empowers recyclers to enhance productivity and focus on high-value, revenue-generating activities.

Leadership and Market Introduction

The new leadership team will be headed by Gordon Driscoll, former CEO of GreenSpark, who will serve as CEO. ReMatter co-founders Wyatt Pontius and Drake Hougo will assume the roles of Chief Product Officer and President, respectively. The founding teams of both original companies will remain with the combined entity, which will operate from New York and Los Angeles.

For existing clients of both GreenSpark and ReMatter, there will be no immediate changes to their current products, contracts, or pricing. The company has committed to providing a seamless transition for all customers to the full capabilities of the combined platform. This ensures continuity of service while preparing for future enhancements.

The newly formed ReSpark will make its official market debut as a combined entity at the upcoming ReMA National Conference. The event is scheduled to take place from April 13–16, 2026, in Las Vegas. This will be the first opportunity for the industry to engage with the unified brand and its vision.

The merger of GreenSpark and ReMatter into ReSpark marks a significant development for the metal recycling technology sector. By combining deep industry expertise with advanced AI and a robust support infrastructure, the company is poised to drive substantial innovation. ReSpark aims to finally provide operators with a software platform that matches the sophistication of their modern businesses.
