FORT Robotics, Inc., the safety platform developing the Trust Layer for Physical AI, has secured approximately US$20 million in new commitments from existing investors ahead of its proposed merger with Newbury Street II Acquisition Corp. Tiger Global is leading an approximately US$10 million financing with participation from Mark Cuban Companies and has also committed an additional US$10 million to the previously announced common equity PIPE. The announcement brings total committed capital for the transaction to more than US$50 million.

Capital Commitments and Market Expansion

The new capital is expected to help FORT expand its team and operating capacity to meet rising customer demand across warehousing, defense, construction, and other markets adopting autonomous systems. FORT plans to use the additional resources to support new and expanding customer opportunities as physical AI adoption accelerates. The company described the investment as a step toward moving faster in a rapidly developing market.

Tiger Global's Continued Conviction

Tiger Global has been an investor in FORT since 2022, when it led the company's Series B round. Griffin Schroeder, Partner at Tiger Global, said the firm believes FORT plays a critical role in building an independent safety layer foundational to physical AI adoption. He added that the continued investment reflects the firm's conviction in FORT's progress and promise.

Market Position and Customer Base

FORT's Trust Layer functions as foundational safety infrastructure for robotic systems and is currently deployed across more than 19,500 units to a global base of over 600 customers. Those customers include Agility Robotics, DoorDash, Cobot, Zoox, Textron, and Google DeepMind. The company has secured 25 patents and serves industries such as transportation, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, energy, and defense.

Business Combination and Listing Plans

Upon closing of the business combination, the combined company will be named FORT Robotics Holdings, Inc. and is expected to list on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the new ticker symbol FROB, subject to regulatory approvals. The transaction would create the first publicly traded company dedicated principally to the safe and scalable deployment of physical AI. FORT is pursuing the listing through its business combination with Newbury Street II Acquisition Corp, whose shares trade on Nasdaq under the ticker NTWO.

Leadership Perspective

Samuel Reeves, Founder and CEO of FORT Robotics, said automation and autonomy are expanding across nearly every major industry, creating a significant need for solutions that make intelligent machines safe, secure, and reliable. He noted that Tiger Global's increased commitment gives the company additional resources to scale its team and operating capacity. Reeves said the opportunity for FORT has never been greater and the investment positions the company to move faster as physical AI adoption accelerates.

Recent Milestones and Customer Momentum

Tiger Global's investment follows several recent milestones for FORT, including an expanded partnership with Agility Robotics and the announcement of a new Connectivity Aggregation software product. The company has also reported new customer opportunities across multiple sectors that are adopting increasingly autonomous systems. These developments support FORT's charter of making autonomous machines safe, secure, and reliable enough to deploy at scale alongside humans.

With the additional capital commitments, FORT Robotics is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the growing physical AI market as it moves toward becoming a public company. The firm's safety platform, broad customer base, and expanding use cases give it a central role in enabling the safe deployment of autonomous systems. Investors and market participants will be watching closely as FORT completes its planned business combination and begins its next phase of growth under the FROB ticker.
