F&F Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Founders & Funders community, has launched a $10 million e-commerce fund in partnership with SHOPLINE. The fund will invest from pre-seed through Series A in consumer brands and the technology that supports them. SHOPLINE serves more than 700,000 merchants worldwide and will provide commerce infrastructure to portfolio companies.

Investment Focus and Scope

The new fund targets early-stage consumer brands and the technology that supports them. Its investment range spans pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds, providing flexibility for founders at different stages of growth and market readiness. By pairing financial backing with commerce infrastructure, the fund aims to address common operational bottlenecks and accelerate early growth for young companies.

Strategic Alignment

The partnership combines F&F Ventures' community-driven deal flow with SHOPLINE's commerce technology. Portfolio companies will receive storefront, payments, marketing automation, loyalty, and multichannel selling capabilities built on one system from day one. This integrated approach is intended to give early-stage consumer brands a stronger operational foundation and a faster path to scale.

Leadership from Experienced Operators

The fund is led by three general partners with direct operating exits. Jeff Erickson scaled a consumer brand to eight figures before its sale to a private equity firm and has invested in more than 40 companies as an angel investor. Adam Shaw built a physical product company from zero to $18 million, while Jian Tam is a serial consumer packaged goods entrepreneur with multiple ecommerce exits.

Community-Driven Deal Flow

Deal flow comes through the Founders & Funders community, which has held more than 300 events in the United States and internationally over the past eight years. Its VC ReversePitch series, where investors pitch founders on thesis and check size rather than the reverse, will run in several major cities this fall. The series begins in Denver on September 17 and includes stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles for Tech Week by a16z.

Portfolio and Commerce Support

The fund currently has a portfolio of 13 consumer brands, including Protein Waffles, NoLimit, See Sea, Link Luggage, OnGo Energy, Board Budder, and G Box. Portfolio companies receive access to SHOPLINE capabilities such as storefront, payments, marketing automation, loyalty, and multichannel selling on a single system. Christopher Yang, Co-President of SHOPLINE, serves on the F&F Ventures investment committee.

Executive Perspective

Jeff Erickson said the venture arm is committed to increasing the likelihood of success for the companies it backs. He noted that the firm is already seeing impact through network connections, distribution channels, ecommerce expertise, experience, and relationships. Christopher Yang added that F&F puts capital and operating experience into companies at the same time, which is what actually moves a young brand.

About SHOPLINE

SHOPLINE was founded in 2013 and is a leading global Software-as-a-Service provider and omnichannel commerce enabler. The platform empowers more than 700,000 merchants worldwide to build, market, and scale their businesses. Its unified commerce solutions include e-commerce website creation, social commerce, live shopping, point-of-sale systems, and a partner ecosystem designed to level up retail operations.

The launch combines early-stage funding with practical commerce infrastructure to support consumer brands. F&F Ventures and SHOPLINE aim to give founders both capital and operating resources from pre-seed through Series A. This approach reflects a broader shift toward value-added venture support and unified commerce systems at the earliest stages of growth.
