EstateMin, an Irish-founded legaltech company now headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, has raised €1 million in Pre-Seed funding. The round combines support from NDRC, First Port Syndicate, and Enterprise Ireland through its High Potential Start-Up program, along with a group of Irish angel investors. The company will use the fresh capital to expand its customer base and product development in the United States.
Investor Participation
EstateMin's Pre-Seed round brings together early-stage investors and government-backed support. NDRC and First Port Syndicate participated alongside Enterprise Ireland, which invested through its High Potential Start-Up program. Angel investors Mike Hanrahan, Moira McKenna, and Conor Stanley also joined the round, along with other Irish angels, though no valuation was disclosed.
Platform Capabilities and Integration
EstateMin's artificial intelligence platform helps attorneys manage estate planning, estate administration, and trust matters. The software digitizes client intake, organizes estate information, extracts data from documents, and supports form preparation. Its AI Case Reviewer scans files to flag missing fields, inconsistencies, or additional forms required before finalization, and the platform integrates with existing legal case management systems including Clio.
Founder Origins and Strategic Shift
EstateMin was founded in Ireland in 2024 by Isabella Hughes, Oisín Dolphin, and John Noonan. Hughes, a law graduate and former legal executive, built the platform after recognizing how much time was lost retyping client information into legal documents. Although the company initially targeted Irish law firms, slower than expected adoption prompted a strategic shift to the United States, where New York offered a stronger response.
Market Traction
EstateMin reports that its platform supports trust and estate firms managing more than €686 million, approximately US$770 million, in estate values across 777 matters. The company is active in all 50 US states and says revenue is growing 20% month over month. These figures, reported by the company, suggest rapid early adoption among US legal practitioners.
Customer Feedback and Time Savings
According to company estimates, law firms save five to seven hours per estate planning matter and five to ten hours per administration. James Greenwood of Greenwood Law in Illinois said the portal allows executors and family members to complete intake on their own time, reducing the burden of calls and paperwork. This customer feedback highlights the platform's role in making estate matters move faster during difficult periods.
Use of Funds and Hiring Plans
EstateMin says the funding will support US customer acquisition, scaling go-to-market operations, and expansion of the engineering and product teams. The company has already hired two software engineers and added business development capacity in the United States. These steps are designed to build on its month-over-month revenue growth and broaden its footprint across the US trust and estate market.
EstateMin's Pre-Seed round and early US traction position it to address administrative friction in trust and estate law. The company's focus on document extraction, AI case review, and integration with tools such as Clio gives it a targeted role in a traditionally manual segment of legal practice. With new capital and expanding US operations, EstateMin aims to support more attorneys and families through faster, better organized estate administration.
