Elevatry GmbH, a Munich-based provider of an AI platform for strategic procurement, has completed a Pre-Seed financing round of €3 million, described as the largest German Pre-Seed round in the software sector in 2026. Bayern Kapital, management consultancy H&Z, and several business angels participated, including Jan Henner-Theißen, Martin Berr-Sorokin, Mike Simon, Markus Ehrle, Andreas Junck, and Alexander Bruehl. The company also announced that its agentic AI platform went live on September 28, 2026.
The Procurement Opportunity
Elevatry is targeting a major value lever that many companies leave underdeveloped. Strategic procurement influences cost, quality, resilience, and compliance across the entire purchasing volume. For a business with 1 billion euros in revenue and 500 million euros in purchasing volume, a 10% improvement can add 50 million euros to earnings.
How the Platform Works
The platform uses specialized AI companions, including a Category Strategist, Negotiation Coach, and Risk & Integrity Manager. They take over analytical work, research, and scenario assessments across the entire Source-to-Contract process, from demand analysis to negotiation and contract management. Elevatry describes itself as a System of Initiative rather than a System of Record, planning proactively and prioritizing recommendations by impact in euros.
Investor Support
Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital, said the company combines an experienced founding team with a clear vision for the future of strategic procurement. She highlighted the AI-native platform's ability to address a significant efficiency and value creation lever while delivering clear customer benefits. Bayern Kapital will support Elevatry alongside a strong business angel consortium.
Strategic Partner Commitment
Harald Enz and Jonas Harm, Managing Partners of H&Z, said they have supported Elevatry since its founding. They believe agentic AI will fundamentally change procurement by automating recurring knowledge work and supporting decision processes. H&Z will act as a strategic partner and help translate the innovation into concrete customer value.
Angel Investor View
Business angel Alexander Bruehl of SaaS Garage noted that he invested because the team has decades of procurement experience and is building a product the market lacks. He also pointed to the presence of serial entrepreneurs Heiko Schwarz from riskmethods and Christian Ruck from Orpheus. Bruehl said many AI offerings automate ordering processes, while Elevatry targets purchasing volume where the largest earnings lever sits.
Funding Plans
Elevatry will use the capital to further develop the platform and its companion portfolio and to execute go-to-market activities. The company plans to expand its engineering, AI, marketing, and customer support teams. The initial market focus is the DACH region and the European Union, with internationalization in North America planned for the medium term.
Founding Team
Elevatry was founded in 2026 by Heiko Schwarz, Christian Ruck, and Tizian Ruck. Heiko Schwarz brings roughly 25 years of experience in strategic procurement and procurement software and previously founded riskmethods, which was acquired by Sphera. Christian Ruck is a former McKinsey Associate Partner and COO of procurement SaaS provider Orpheus, while Tizian Ruck leads the technical development as AI Lead.
With its first institutional funding in place, Elevatry enters the market with capital, procurement expertise, and investor networks. The company aims to help procurement teams apply the methodology of their best category managers to every spend category. Its progress will now be measured by the customer impact it can demonstrate in the DACH region and beyond.
