El Poblado Investment Group has announced an expanded healthcare emphasis within El Poblado Fund III, the firm's active investment vehicle targeting a fourth quarter close. The Los Angeles-based platform continues to focus on healthcare, technology, real estate, and hospitality, but healthcare has become a growing priority. The shift responds to evolving medical systems, patient expectations, and private-care markets across Latin America.

Healthcare Moves Toward Consumer-Led Models

Across Latin America, healthcare is transitioning from episodic and location-based treatment toward more connected and consumer-oriented care. Telemedicine, remote patient engagement, online diagnostics, artificial intelligence tools, and direct-to-consumer clinical pathways are expanding convenience, privacy, affordability, and continuity. These changes are especially relevant for populations that may delay or avoid treatment because of stigma, cost, inconvenience, or limited access to trusted providers.

Investment Thesis and Market Opportunity

El Poblado sees this transition as an opportunity to support healthcare companies that can scale responsibly while improving access and patient experience. The firm prioritizes models combining medical credibility, technology, efficient distribution, culturally relevant branding, and clear value for patients and health systems. Mexico stands out because of its population scale, proximity to the United States, private healthcare demand, digital adoption, and need for accessible care.

Leadership Perspective

"Healthcare is becoming one of the most important areas of opportunity in Latin America," said Mason Mehta, Founder and General Partner of El Poblado Investment Group. He added that the firm is looking for companies that are not simply digitizing healthcare, but redesigning the patient experience around trust, access, privacy, and better outcomes. Mehta described Omme as a strong example of that investment thesis.

Spotlight Investment: Omme

Omme is a Mexico-based digital men's health platform that is reimagining how men manage chronic health conditions. The company is initially focused on hair loss and erectile dysfunction, conditions that together affect more than 30 million men in Mexico. Through prepaid six- and twelve-month medical programs, each patient is paired with a board-certified specialist from day one.

The company's model responds to a structural problem in traditional healthcare, where physicians are paid for consultations and pharmacies are paid when prescriptions are filled, regardless of long-term outcomes. Omme integrates physician-led treatment protocols, AI-powered follow-up, continuous clinical support, and discreet home delivery into one structured patient experience. Its vision extends beyond individual conditions to build infrastructure for a new model of chronic men's healthcare across Latin America.

Impact Commitment: Fundación Vamos México

El Poblado also supports Fundación Vamos México, founded by former President Vicente Fox and Marta Sahagún de Fox in 2001, which reaches 15,300 beneficiaries and delivered 12,300 kilograms of nutritional products across nine states. Through CRISMA, more than 580 patients receive over 2,100 therapy sessions monthly in San Miguel de Allende. President Fox said the support reflects a meaningful commitment to health and dignity, while Marta Sahagún invited companies and foundations to help expand access to rehabilitation services.
