Dayforce, Inc. announced on October 23, 2026 that it has signed an agreement to acquire Ribbon AI Inc., an AI-native recruiting technology company. Ribbon helps organizations source, screen, and engage qualified talent more quickly and efficiently. The acquisition will add specialized agentic recruiting capabilities to Dayforce, including conversational voice and video AI technology.

Addressing High-Volume Hiring Challenges

High-volume hiring often forces employers to choose between speed and candidate experience. "High-volume hiring shouldn't mean choosing between speed and a strong candidate experience," said David Ossip, Founder and CEO of Dayforce, Inc. He added that AI can take on manual, time-sensitive work while recruiters focus on engaging talent and making decisions that matter, and that Ribbon accelerates the company's vision for agentic recruiting by helping frontline organizations fill critical roles faster.

How Ribbon's Conversational AI Works

Ribbon's voice AI interviewer conducts conversational, two-way interviews around the clock, giving candidates greater flexibility in when and how they participate. Starting with a job description, the technology can automatically generate interview questions and a scoring rubric from relevant past interviews. Ribbon also evaluates candidates based on interview transcripts, helping create a more structured and job-relevant assessment process that supports faster, more consistent hiring decisions.

Proven Scale and Integrity Features

Ribbon's technology is already proven at scale, with hundreds of customers and more than one million completed interviews. In 2026, Fast Company named Ribbon one of its Most Innovative Companies in Enterprise for its use of AI agents to conduct human-like, well-researched job interviews. Video and other built-in integrity checks can detect unusual audio, gaze, and response-timing patterns, while approximately 90% of Ribbon customers use the recommended default configuration to deploy interviews quickly and consistently.

Expanding Talent Rediscovery and Outreach

Beyond interviewing, Ribbon provides AI-powered sourcing and talent rediscovery capabilities that help employers uncover qualified candidates within their existing talent pools. The technology has been tested across as many as 30 million candidates within a single applicant tracking system. It also supports candidate outreach through SMS, WhatsApp, and email, and Ribbon is nearing completion of an AI scheduling agent designed to further streamline hiring workflows.

Executive Perspective from Ribbon

Ribbon Co-Founder and CEO Arsham Ghahramani said the company was built on a simple belief that every candidate deserves a genuine opportunity to be considered. He added that joining Dayforce will allow Ribbon to bring its conversational AI, interview intelligence, sourcing, and outreach capabilities to more organizations around the world. Ghahramani also said the combination can make hiring faster, more fair, and more personal for both recruiters and candidates.

Integration with the Dayforce Platform

Following the close of the transaction, Ribbon's technology will be integrated natively into the new Dayforce Agentic Recruiting experience. The combined capabilities are designed to help Dayforce customers source, screen, evaluate, and engage talent through a more connected, agentic recruiting workflow. This integration aims to reduce the cost and time associated with traditional candidate interviews while providing applicants with a more accessible and engaging experience.

The acquisition positions Dayforce to deliver a more responsive and resilient workforce solution for frontline organizations. By combining Ribbon's conversational AI and sourcing tools with Dayforce's single AI-powered people platform, the companies aim to remove friction from high-volume hiring. Customers can expect faster hiring, stronger candidate engagement, and more consistent evaluation as the integration progresses.
