DataAgent, a Tel Aviv-based startup, has emerged from stealth on September 1, 2026 with the launch of its remediation-first platform and a $10 million pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by MizMaa Ventures and Alicorn Venture Partners. The company plans to use the capital to bring its technology to market and accelerate customer adoption in North America.
A Remediation-First Approach to Cloud Infrastructure
The DataAgent platform acts as an AI-native autonomous site reliability engineer for Kubernetes and connected infrastructure. It operates directly within cloud-native control planes and integrates with existing observability systems as a lightweight overlay rather than a replacement. Agents capture high-fidelity signals at the source and act autonomously when a fault occurs, eliminating the need for expensive external data transfers.
Reversing Conventional Incident Response
Traditional observability detects a fault and routes it to an engineer, who then investigates and applies a fix. This model requires a second paid copy of customer telemetry to be sent to a vendor cloud and becomes more expensive as systems grow. DataAgent reverses that order by reading live system state, topology and configuration drift where the data already sits, identifying the cause and applying a verified fix before deeper analysis is run offline.
Restoring Service Before Root-Cause Analysis
By restoring service before performing detailed diagnostics, DataAgent targets a significant reduction in mean time to resolution. The platform reads the live state of a system and applies safe, guardrail-controlled actions that users define for known fault classes. Once a failure class has been proven correct over time, the system handles it autonomously while other cases are routed for human intervention through existing change management.
Financial Benefits Without Replacement
The platform is designed to deliver financial benefits without forcing a migration away from existing tools. DataAgent can run above a current monitoring stack, resolving routine faults locally and forwarding data for deeper inspection only when a fault requires it. Co-founder and CEO Ishay Yaari noted that organizations rarely hear engineering leaders say observability costs declined, and the company states customers can cut up to 90 percent of observability spend.

DataAgent is led by CEO Ishay Yaari and CTO Nati Shalom, who previously worked together at Cloudify, a cloud orchestration company acquired by Dell in 2023. The company currently has 15 employees and is recruiting additional go-to-market staff in the United States and Israel. Catherine Leun, co-founder and partner at MizMaa Ventures, said DataAgent moves observability beyond insight and toward action, while Alicorn Venture Partners highlighted its interest in autonomous remediation that keeps customer infrastructure under customer control.
Platform Capabilities and Open Source Access
DataAgent's platform combines remediation-first actions with 360-degree architectural context, continuous reinforcement learning and an open-source agent. During onboarding, a discovery phase shows customers which failure classes can be remediated immediately and establishes a timeline for closing remaining gaps. The open-source agent can be deployed and run standalone at no cost, with a paid SaaS tier available for fleet management and orchestration.
DataAgent is positioning itself at the intersection of autonomous remediation and cost discipline for modern cloud infrastructure. Its in-cluster approach is meant to keep sensitive telemetry inside the customer environment while reducing the volume of data sent to external vendors.
