Cradlewise, an AI-first consumer health and wellness company focused on infant and child sleep, has raised $12 million in Series A funding. The round was led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management and brings the company's total funding to $26 million. The fresh capital will support growth, channel expansion, product research and development, and entry into new international markets.

Product Innovation Rooted in Parent Experience

Founded in 2019 by Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil, Cradlewise developed its smart crib after experiencing sleepless nights as parents. The crib combines sensors, contactless monitoring, adaptive motion, and a connected app to detect early signs of stirring and soothe babies before they fully wake. The system learns each child's sleep patterns over time and can save parents up to two hours of effort each day.

Founder Vision and Product Philosophy

Radhika Patil, co-founder and chief executive officer, said Cradlewise came from the founders' own experience of sleepless nights as parents. She noted that the company wanted to build something that does more than simply inform parents when a baby is awake. Bharath Patil, co-founder and chief technology officer, added that the technology is designed to solve challenges quietly and help families move past them.

Data and Manufacturing Backbone

Cradlewise said its technology is supported by patents covering its hardware and sensing systems. The connected products have generated more than 75 million hours of sleep data, which the company uses to improve detection and personalization. The startup manufactures its cribs at a facility in Pune that can produce, test, and pack thousands of units each month.

Expanding Channels and Product Roadmap

Currently, Cradlewise sells through its own website and ecommerce marketplaces, but it plans to widen distribution through offline retail stores and partnerships. This approach is intended to reach parents across multiple touchpoints without relying on a single route to market. The company will also expand its portfolio beyond cribs with software-led sleep routines, additional hardware, lower-priced entry points, and reusable sensing modules.

A Broader Sleep Technology Shift

India's sleep technology market is moving beyond traditional mattress-led offerings and into a wider ecosystem of connected products. Companies such as Wakefit have introduced platforms like Zense to track sleep quality and movement, while DUSQ has raised funding for wearables that use vagus nerve stimulation. These developments indicate rising investor and consumer interest in solutions that actively improve sleep rather than simply track it.

Investor Confidence and Market Context

Anand Batra of 3one4 Capital said Radhika and Bharath have built a differentiated sleep system with strong unit economics and a roadmap that can extend the customer relationship beyond infancy. The investment reflects growing interest in sleep technology that goes beyond mattress-led models and enters a broader ecosystem of connected health products. Cradlewise's existing investors include Sean O'Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC, and Charles River Ventures.

Strategic Growth Across India and the United States

The company is headquartered in San Francisco, with manufacturing operations in Pune, and it plans to expand geographically into the United States. Radix Capital Advisors, led by Abhishek Taparia, served as the investment banking advisor for the round. This dual presence supports its ambition to build a global child sleep company from India and the US.

With this Series A round, Cradlewise is positioned to scale its smart sleep platform and broaden its reach beyond the infant crib category. The funding will help the company develop new products and channels while drawing on a substantial base of sleep data and patented technology. As consumer demand for technology-led sleep solutions grows, Cradlewise aims to support families through a longer and more connected sleep journey.
