Confido Health, a US-based healthcare technology startup, has secured US$22.5 million in total Series A funding to advance its artificial intelligence operations platform for healthcare providers. The round includes a US$12.5 million extension led by Z47, formerly Matrix Partners India, with participation from existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures. Healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks also joined the company as an investor and board adviser.

Funding Breakdown and Investor Support

The extension round brings the company's total Series A financing to US$22.5 million, following a US$10 million raise last year and a US$3 million round the year before. Z47 Partner and Senior Managing Director Vikram Vaidyanathan described Confido as building AI staffing for healthcare, with forward-deployed engineers making deployment seamless. Justin Saks, who brings 14 years of multi-site healthcare investment experience, will support the company's private equity distribution strategy.

Platform Capabilities and CareOS

Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health develops AI agents that automate administrative tasks such as patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription refills, and payment follow-ups. Its CareOS platform connects with more than 50 existing systems, including electronic health records, practice management, telephony, and billing tools, avoiding costly technology replacements. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand CareOS across multi-location healthcare organizations and develop additional AI agents for different workflows and specialties.

CareOS is built to automate the work behind the conversation by carrying context from one task to the next. A single interaction can trigger a referral, an appointment, a prescription refill, and a payment, instead of routing each one to a different tool or person. The platform also offers focused specialty depth in ophthalmology, optometry, physical therapy, dental, and primary and community care.

Scale, Growth, and Market Strategy

Confido Health currently serves 3,200 healthcare providers across more than 1,500 sites in 27 US states, with 15-fold growth since its previous funding round. Its AI agents have achieved handling rates above 95% across critical end-to-end office use cases, adding the equivalent of three to five full-time employees in operational capacity within three months of deployment. Customers such as Vision Innovation Partners have reported doubling collections in their payments departments after deployment.

The company's distribution model centers on selling to private equity investors first, then expanding through warm introductions to their portfolio companies once results are proven. This approach aligns with the fact that private equity-backed provider groups now operate roughly one third of the country's specialty care practices in some markets. Confido sees these multi-site organizations as ideal customers because they are fragmented, high-volume operations that need a unified system of action.

Addressing Administrative Burden in Healthcare

The company is positioning CareOS as a shift from systems of record to systems of action, where integrated AI agents act on information rather than simply storing it. Confido reports that provider groups project US$10 million to US$15 million in annual savings, while patient satisfaction scores average 4.55 out of 5 across roughly a million tasks. Healthcare organizations continue to face rising operating costs, staffing shortages, and fragmented software systems, making administrative automation an urgent priority.

With the new funding and investor support, Confido Health aims to deepen its presence among private equity-backed provider groups and extend its systems-of-action model further into the operational back office. The company's growth trajectory and distribution approach reflect a broader healthtech push toward AI-enabled administrative efficiency. As healthcare consolidation accelerates, Confido's integrated agents could play a meaningful role in reshaping how multi-site practices manage day-to-day operations.
