Cognitive Credit, a leading provider of corporate credit data, analytics, and AI technology, has completed a US$40 million strategic growth investment led by Summit Partners. Existing investor ETFS Capital also participated in the round. The funding will support the company's commercial expansion in the United States and accelerate development of new products for global credit markets.

Strategic Investment and Governance

The investment was led by Summit Partners, a global growth equity firm that has backed more than 550 companies since 1984. Chris Bon, a Partner at Summit Partners, has joined the Cognitive Credit Board of Directors as part of the transaction. The capital injection will help Cognitive Credit scale its specialist data and AI capabilities across institutional credit markets.

Market Demand for Verified Credit Data

Corporate credit is among the world's largest asset classes, with nearly US$60 trillion in corporate bonds and syndicated loans outstanding globally. According to the OECD's Global Debt Report 2026, close to US$14 trillion was raised in 2025 alone. Credit research teams are increasingly seeking specialized data systems to analyze fragmented disclosures across thousands of public and private companies.

Platform and Technology Capabilities

Cognitive Credit's integrated web application supports the full credit research workflow by combining verified data, advanced analytics, and domain-specific generative AI. The platform draws on proprietary data built from hundreds of thousands of financial reports and covers more than 3,500 corporate bond and loan issuers in the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets. Clients can access data through a REST API, an Excel add-in, or a native Claude connector, with full auditability and traceability to source.

Institutional Adoption and Growth

Cognitive Credit now powers analytical workflows for more than 80% of the top 25 global asset managers by AUM and all top 10 global debt league table investment banks. Over the past three years, the company has achieved 240% active user growth and more than doubled its global bond and loan issuer coverage. This adoption highlights strong market demand for technology purpose-built for credit analysis rather than general-purpose AI tools.

Product Roadmap and Expansion

With the new funding, Cognitive Credit will accelerate its U.S. commercial expansion and advance next-generation products. The company is preparing the imminent launch of DealConnect, which will provide on-demand access to detailed credit models for private issuers that report through secure data rooms. It is also planning the deployment of agentic credit analysis, applying advanced AI on top of its verified data layer to help automate deep fundamental research.

Executive Perspectives

Robert Slater, CEO and Founder of Cognitive Credit, said the company's momentum validates its focus on structured data, specialist AI, and workflow automation. He added that demand for credit-specialist technology will continue to accelerate and that the partnership with Summit Partners supports the next phase of growth. Chris Bon said Cognitive Credit is purpose-built for credit analysis and provides speed, precision, and auditability across thousands of issuers.

Cognitive Credit's US$40 million strategic growth investment marks a significant milestone for the company and the broader credit technology market. With strong institutional adoption, expanding issuer coverage, and a clear product roadmap, the company is positioned to help credit professionals rely on AI with confidence. The planned launch of DealConnect and agentic credit analysis will further strengthen its ability to meet demand for accurate, transparent, and auditable data.
