ClassDojo has announced a significant expansion of its platform, introducing a new suite of tools designed for school administrators. This development signals the company's evolution from a classroom-centric communication tool to a comprehensive, school-wide platform. The new capabilities aim to streamline communication, enhance family engagement, and unify the various digital tools used by school leaders.

Streamlining School-Wide Communication

In response to feedback from educators, ClassDojo is addressing the challenge of fragmented communication systems in schools. Principals and district leaders often juggle multiple platforms to connect with their communities. This new suite of features was developed to consolidate these efforts into a single, efficient system.

The update extends the platform's trusted classroom support to the entire school administration. "One message we've heard consistently from principals and district leaders is that they don't need another tool—they need fewer tools that work better together," said Jeff Buening, General Manager of ClassDojo. This initiative helps leaders communicate more effectively and strengthen partnerships between home and school.

A Closer Look at the New Capabilities

The new features empower administrators with multichannel announcement capabilities, allowing a single message to be distributed across the mobile app, email, text, and voice channels. An integrated Canva tool enables the rapid creation of professional newsletters and announcements. Additionally, a one-click social media posting function helps schools easily share their stories with the broader community.

To provide actionable insights, school-wide engagement dashboards will help leaders understand participation trends and identify opportunities for connection. The platform is also expanding its support for secondary education with a more mature user experience. This includes multi-class communication tools and secure teacher-to-student messaging for eligible middle and high schools.

Enhancing Family Engagement and Accessibility

Schools that have implemented ClassDojo on a school-wide basis have already seen measurable improvements in family engagement. Data indicates that 80% of families read messages the day they are received, alongside a 25% increase in active families. These statistics underscore the platform's ability to foster a more connected and involved school community.

A significant feature designed to boost inclusivity is the platform's automatic translation of messages into more than 190 languages. This capability ensures that schools can communicate effectively with multilingual families. It removes language barriers, allowing more parents and caregivers to stay informed and engaged in their children's education.

ClassDojo's latest announcement solidifies its position as a central communication hub for modern education. By providing these advanced tools for administrators, the company reinforces its mission to build stronger school communities. The new features will be available for the 2026–2027 school year and will continue to be offered free of charge to schools, teachers, and families.
