Brazilian startup Imersa has raised R$250,000 in its first investment round at a valuation of nearly R$4 million. The funding was provided entirely by angel investor Flávio Szenkier, who has also backed Tractian. The round remains open, with the company seeking at least an additional R$500,000 from angel investors and venture funds.
Investment structure and round goals
The transaction was divided into two stages, with R$150,000 delivered at entry and another R$100,000 tied to agreed performance indicators. Imersa expects to close the round by the end of the year, despite a formal deadline of May 2027. The company is currently talking to angel investors and funds to reach its fundraising target.
From services to a proprietary sales platform
Founded in 2023, Imersa operated without external capital during its first years, providing demand generation and commercial team preparation services. The company served more than 100 clients while developing its own technology. However, the services model faced clear scale limits, as the team could support no more than 20 companies per month without reducing delivery quality.
Training outcomes also lost strength over time, with salespeople stopping the practices after one or two months. In response, the startup shifted to building an internal operation based on autonomous agents. The cognitive core, created in 2024 and built by a researcher from the University of Campinas, now sustains the company's technology.
How the copilot supports B2B sales teams
During sales meetings, the platform analyzes conversations in real time and shows a panel with customer interest, unresolved objections, and issues that are hurting the negotiation. It also estimates the probability of closing. After each call, the salesperson receives an analysis of mistakes and accesses roleplay simulations that recreate difficult scenarios.
Commercial leaders can monitor team performance through a dedicated dashboard. The solution is primarily aimed at medium and large companies, where commercial management still depends heavily on intuition. Perina Braga, CEO and cofounder, said, "Companies have commercial data, but they do not have commercial intelligence."
The copilot is not designed to replace salespeople, according to the company, and it is positioned as a support tool for commercial work. This approach matters because many sales professionals are concerned about losing space to artificial intelligence. The platform is meant to help them act on data rather than intuition alone.
Market positioning and technology roadmap
Imersa uses North American companies Gong and Hyperbound as references, whose solutions can cost more than R$1,000 per user. The startup says a key differentiator is having built the platform in Portuguese for the commercial reality of an emerging market. It also highlights the development of proprietary technology instead of simply integrating models from other providers.
With the new funding, Imersa plans to invest in infrastructure, hire scientists, and purchase B2B market data. The company will also maintain collaboration with academic researchers to continuously update the technology. These resources are intended to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and support the development of new product features.
Expansion and hiring plans
Imersa is moving its operation from Mogi Guaçu, in the interior of São Paulo state, to the state capital. The startup has joined La Fabrique, an innovation center installed at the STATE hub in Vila Leopoldina. It currently has seven team members and plans to hire at least seven more people for the São Paulo office.
The funding marks a transition for Imersa from a services model to a technology company focused on B2B sales intelligence. With a proprietary platform, a new investor, and expansion plans, the startup aims to help sales teams improve performance through real-time data and continuous training. The coming months will be important as it works to close the round and scale its operations in São Paulo.
