BOB AI Holdings Corp., a Miami-based financial technology company, announced on October 23, 2026, that it has raised US$5.5 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Mischief, founded by Plaid founder Zak Perret, with backing from Peter Thiel and participation from Codie Sanchez, Mark Pincus, Karman Ventures, and others. BOB will use the capital to expand its product, grow its Miami team, and bring its free AI finance agent to more small business owners.

Seed Funding and Investor Backing

The Seed round brings together investors who share the conviction that small businesses deserve the same caliber of finance department that large companies take for granted. Mischief led the investment, and Peter Thiel joined as a backer alongside Codie Sanchez, the investor known for championing Main Street business ownership. The funding follows BOB's private beta launch in September 2026 and supports three priorities: deepening product capabilities, scaling customer onboarding, and growing the Miami team.

Product Capabilities and Everyday Use

BOB functions as an AI finance employee that handles the administrative financial work that often consumes owners' nights and weekends. Owners can talk to BOB the way they would talk to a trusted bookkeeper or CFO, using WhatsApp, text message, Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, or the BOB app. The platform keeps the books, sends invoices, accepts payments, holds funds in a deposit account, and helps owners see where their cash is headed so they can make confident decisions.

Focus on Underserved Small Businesses

BOB's approach has been effective because the company is focused on small business owners who have been largely underserved by financial technology built over the last five to ten years. Many of those products were designed for the general market or for enterprise finance teams and assume the owner has time, training, or staff to run them. BOB starts from the opposite assumption, serving roofing companies, restaurants, and local services firms that need real financial help without hiring a department to get it.

Leadership Commentary and Strategic Vision

Adam Wininger, CEO of BOB, said small business owners have been an afterthought for most financial technology built over the last decade. He explained that owners often stay up late trying to make sense of their books, so BOB was built to take that work off their plate entirely. Dustin Moring, General Partner at Mischief, added that BOB is attacking an immense market at the exact moment AI is moving from advising on transactions to executing them.

Company Mission and Regulatory Position

BOB AI Holdings Corp. is a financial technology company, not a bank, and its long-term goal is to be the most useful banking product in the world, built for a new world of AI agents, robots, and drones. The company is headquartered in Miami and is building BOB as an AI finance employee and banking platform for small business. Additional information about the company and its services is available at joinbob.ai.

The new Seed funding positions BOB to accelerate its mission of giving small business owners a practical, conversational finance agent that reduces administrative burden. By combining investor support with a focus on accessible tools, the company aims to address a clear gap in the market for owner-operated businesses. As BOB expands its product and onboarding, it is positioning itself to become a foundational banking platform for the next wave of AI-driven financial services.
