Fashion startup Atorie has raised $9.5 million in seed funding to expand its technology-driven model for connecting consumers with manufacturers that produce premium apparel and accessories. The round was backed by a16z Speedrun, Night Capital, and investor Jeremy Liew, providing the Los Angeles-based company with fresh capital to strengthen logistics, production, and artificial intelligence capabilities. Founded in 2024, Atorie is positioning itself between traditional luxury brands and fast-fashion retailers by offering higher-quality products at more accessible price points.

Connecting Manufacturers Directly With Consumers

Atorie works with manufacturers capable of producing handbags, clothing, and other products using materials and production standards associated with high-end fashion, while reducing the layers between factories and shoppers. The company believes this direct model can lower pricing while giving manufacturers more opportunities to diversify beyond large fashion brands that traditionally place substantial production orders. Atorie currently works with more than 40 factories worldwide, giving the startup a growing manufacturing network as it expands its range of products and scales its operations.

AI Across the Fashion Supply Chain

Artificial intelligence is central to Atorie's approach to product development, production planning, and inventory management across its manufacturing network. The company uses AI to analyze fashion trends, assess colors and product concepts, forecast demand, and identify potential material shortages before factories commit resources to larger production runs. By improving demand forecasting and supporting smaller batches, Atorie aims to create a more responsive supply chain that can reduce excess inventory while allowing manufacturers to adapt more quickly to changing consumer preferences.

Building an AI-Powered Shopping Experience

Atorie is also applying artificial intelligence directly to the shopping experience, using technology to help consumers discover products and create personalized outfits. Its platform includes AI capabilities that can generate outfit recommendations from images or descriptions while learning from customer behavior to improve future product suggestions. The company sees this type of personalized product discovery becoming increasingly important as AI assistants take a larger role in how consumers research, compare, and eventually purchase products online.

Expanding Products and Creator Partnerships

Atorie reported approximately $5 million in sales last year and expects its annualized revenue run rate to exceed $55 million this year, although that figure represents a run-rate projection rather than completed annual revenue. The new financing will support additional AI tools, production capacity, logistics infrastructure, and the development of an in-house fashion line as the company broadens its offering. Atorie also plans to work with creators and influencers seeking to launch their own fashion brands, giving them access to its manufacturing relationships and technology to accelerate product development and production.

Co-founded by Redouane Ramdani and Luis Angulo, Atorie is building its business at the intersection of artificial intelligence, fashion manufacturing, and direct-to-consumer commerce. Its $9.5 million seed round gives the startup additional resources to expand its global factory network, improve its supply chain, and develop technology for both manufacturers and shoppers. As consumers increasingly look for alternatives to traditional luxury pricing and mass-market fast fashion, Atorie is betting that premium materials, more flexible production, and AI-powered personalization can help it establish a distinct position in the market.
