Aatmunn, the industrial intelligence company behind the SPANR platform, announced a growth investment of up to US$8 million from Santa Monica-based Memento Growth Partners, with participation from existing investors. The capital will support an expansion of Aatmunn's sales and marketing organization and accelerate research and development for SPANR, including deeper AI integration. The announcement highlights growing demand for technology that unifies fragmented industrial data and helps frontline teams act in real time.
Unifying Fragmented Industrial Data
Industrial companies are generating more data than ever, but much of it remains spread across devices, systems, and sites that were not designed to connect. SPANR serves as a unified data layer for the industrial frontline, connecting hardware from different manufacturers, normalizing the data, and applying AI-powered insight. The SOC 2 Type II audited platform supports use cases such as worker safety, gas detection, asset tracking, and inspections, with additional capabilities being introduced quickly.
Funding Allocation and Strategic Priorities
The new funding will be directed toward growing Aatmunn's sales and marketing presence and advancing SPANR research and development. A key priority is accelerating the integration of AI across the platform to deliver more actionable insight for customers. The company aims to put SPANR in front of a larger share of the world's frontline operations.
Chief Executive Perspective
Praveer Kumar, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aatmunn, said industrial companies are sitting on more data than ever, but that data is spread across disconnected devices, systems, and sites. He explained that SPANR turns fragmentation into one live picture of people, assets, and risk, and then helps teams decide and act. Kumar added that Memento understands the mission-critical nature of this layer and gives the company fuel to scale.
Investor Perspective
Kareem El Sawy, Founder and Managing Partner at Memento Growth Partners, said legacy industrial environments are where AI can deliver some of its most tangible value and where it is hardest to deploy. He noted that Aatmunn has completed the difficult work through a decade of field experience, multi-OEM device integrations, an audit-grade system of record, and a growing base of blue-chip customers. El Sawy said Memento sees SPANR as the intelligence layer industrial enterprises will standardize on.
Customer Adoption and Market Traction
Aatmunn, founded in 2014 as Guardhat, serves customers including Fortune 500 leaders in energy, aerospace, logistics, construction, and advanced manufacturing. The company's partnership with a global supply chain leader, where SPANR powers the partner's Connected Safety business, is expanding into equipment rental. The platform is used by more than 300 enterprises across the United States, Canada, and Europe and protects more than 80,000 workers.
OEM White-Label Program
For original equipment manufacturers, SPANR functions as a white-label platform that can compress development timelines. One industrial hardware OEM recently launched two product lines on SPANR and shortened a three-year software roadmap to five and a half months. Aatmunn also offers fixed-scope Audit-in-a-Box and Inspection-in-a-Box programs that put SPANR live on a customer's own operations within weeks.
Aatmunn's growth investment marks another step in its mission to improve the lives of more than two billion frontline workers. By expanding market reach and accelerating AI development, the company aims to help enterprises move from fragmented operational data to faster, safer decision making. With an established customer base and a flexible platform, Aatmunn is positioned to broaden its role as an intelligence layer for industrial operations.
